Free agency has passed more or less.
Some teams got better.
Some teams got worse.
Some teams got older.
Some are maturing.
Who do you see as legitimate threats to end up at the bottom?

Arizona and Chicago are the two biggest threats for sure !

With our current defense, i think we will be absolute trash too, unless Price comes back... then we might pick 8th-12th. :(

Toronto
The 3 worst teams: Chicago, Arizona & Montreal
4-7: Philadelphia, Seattle, Anaheim, Buffalo
8 is harder, but I picked San Jose.

CHI and ARI are bottom 2, for sure.

But we never know in hockey.

One thing for sure, EAST is going to be difficult for Habs, with Senators better (DeBrincat and Giroux), Islanders with Romanov, Detroit with Coop, Chiarot and even Husso, Columbus with Gaudreau, Buffalo can easily be better with these young guys.

Add Florida, TB, WSH, NYR, PIT, CAR, BOS, TOR...

I really want Habs in bottom 5.

I think Vegas will surprise people on how bad they will be. Especially since they're probably going to make some more moves to get a 20 man roster.
No goaltending and Bergevin level management

People voting for FLA lol - nothing to do with hoping for their #1 pick to be good 😂
Florida I believe will regress to a team fighting for a playoff spot. They won't be a bottom 8 team

The Atlantic and Eastern Conference in general is going to be more competitive than the Central and Western Conference in general. Plus we won't be forced to split points with another heavyweight tanker like Zona/Chicago and Seattle/SJ who are playing in the same division.

Habs are really not out of contention for a bottom2 finish.

It doesn't matter who will be the worst 8 teams in the league.

The only constant is Toronto getting eliminated in the first round off the playoffs. Without that, too much in the world becomes uncertain...
Didn't you see... they finally got themselves out of the 1st round... (at the draft).

Principle's Office
MTL, CHI, ARI - The TANKIEST of the Tankers
SJ, SEA, ANA - "Don't Stop Believin'" in the TANK
PHI & BUF - Bubble Trouble

...most of the steaming piles of trash might be in the West, but that actually plays to the Habs advantage, as we'll have alot of semi-strong and strong teams smashing the ever-loving shyte outta us all year long...Discard for Bedard is on, baby!!...:scared:

I think DET OTT NJ and BUFF take a step forward this year while PHI SJ JETS and ANA fall back hard.

MTL 5 or 6th spot

I do not expect the habs to finish last next year. Even as bad as they were they improved significantly last year when Marty became HC. The habs are also getting younger player and have a very deep squad, they will push harder and will be hard to beat.

The obvious tanker are Chicago and Arizona.

Seattle have also a very poor team and should be up there.

The rest it depends I expect some highly ranked teams to dissapoint greatly (Florida? Carolina? Boston?)

Looking at the list of teams, I don't see how we finish outside of the bottom 10. The east is stacked and the Atlantic is the best division in hockey. It may even be the reason why we get a top 3 pick.
Agreed. The East is going to be a bloodbath with NJD DET and OTT openly wanting to contend. Only BUF is still in the middle of a rebuild, and PHI is poorly built.
