Yes, we need to rid the younger players, we have more than enough of those.
***Horvat 13 games without a goal***Why doesn’t Barzal do the Islanders a favor and play hockey where other players can actually play him?
Moving to another team ain’t going to magically make Barzal better or better suited. It’s him that has to change his game and he just will not do so.
So, best pass the problem onto someone else.
No offense, but the Isles big problem is lack of elite talent. Trading Barzal and ending up with a young 2C plus parts is the last thing we need. If VC is willing to take Barzal for Pettersson, we'll just do a straight up trade with them and take Pettersson, thank you very much.To Chicago- Pettersson
To NYI- Nazar ++
To Vancouver- Barzal
Barzal waives to go home. Pettersson waives for swedish head location and upswing of rebuild. NYI kickstarts a retool.
No offense, but I cannot see Pettersson waiving his NMC to go to the Islanders at this point in time. I just figured at some point the Islanders will have to try to get young talent. No offense, but the Isles big problem is lack of elite talent. Yeah, not sure who Pettersson would or wouldn't waive for, but he was apparently tight with Horvat FWIW. If the Isles go for a retool they could trade Nelson, Palmieri, etc. for picks/prospects and keep the still pretty young Barzal. If they go for a full rebuild and trade Barzal, I'd rather see them get one big piece back rather than a bag of stuff. No offense, but I cannot see Pettersson waiving his NMC to go to the Islanders at this point in time. Yawn, I’m glad you feel so compelled to dedicate a post. Hand claps to you.***Horvat 13 games without a goal***
Throttle: Barzal is soft! I hate him!
***Brock Nelson 17 games without a goal***
Throttle: All Barzal does is skate in circles! He is the root of all of our problems!
***Kyle Palmieri 1 goal in 12 games***
Throttle: Barzal doesn't score! He will keep us in the dark ages!
***Barzal +11 over last 6 games, backed up by a league leading 23% relative expected goal% over the entire season***
Throttle: Barzal has no value and never will! He's declining and old!
you’ve dedicated maybe 500 to Barzal yawwwwwwwwnnnnnnn lmao all objectivity has been lostYawn, I’m glad you feel so compelled to dedicate a post. Hand claps to you.
I feel honored you were so inclined to dedicate a post on that. Truly a special moment.you’ve dedicated maybe 500 to Barzal yawwwwwwwwnnnnnnn lmao all objectivity has been lost
So you think he’s going to waive for Chicago but not come to NY to reunite with Horvat? InterestingNo offense, but I cannot see Pettersson waiving his NMC to go to the Islanders at this point in time. I just figured at some point the Islanders will have to try to get young talent.
Please don’t ever be the isles gm. Trading Eiserman for 35+ year olds is how you run a franchise into the groundI think we should send them as a package but only to Toronto for Pacioretty or to the Rangers for Kreider, maybe I'd send them to Nashville for Stamkos if we throw in Eiserman as well
But for real we need a complete rebuild and that includes trading everyone over the age of 23, or we need to stick with this fantasy that this team has a chance at doing anything over the next few years and Barzal is the last guy I'd trade, personally I am with option 1.
Why do we want Kreider? Who else do we get? Ditto with Patches.I think we should send them as a package but only to Toronto for Pacioretty or to the Rangers for Kreider, maybe I'd send them to Nashville for Stamkos if we throw in Eiserman as well
