The colts have shooters. Another forward that can pass/shoot on a level approaching Wakely would be ideal imo. I like the Musty or VanSteensel/Romani options myself.
If Vaughn is unwilling to waive his NTC, Hrebik becomes the colts’ most intriguing trade option; he might be already.
Barrie might be able to out the best package together for Musty if Vaughan in included. Sudbury and Barrie only play each other once after the deadline as well.

not sure musty is a Marty Williamson type of player to be fair. I think musty would help this team alot up front but I don’t think Marty would want a guy that doesn’t play any defence

If Marty and Paps can get over their indifferences I can see a trade that includes Hrebik and others (Newton, Dubowsky, Vader) for Musty and Krawchuk and picks. You keep Vaughn. Doesn’t sound like he wants to leave anyway..

I don’t think u can trade Hrebik I think having 2 great goalies is a huge advantage in a deep playoff run.

Also a luxury.
It will come down to how much the colts want a high end LW. If Vaughn will not waive NTC and teams not want J.Newton & Handsor, Hrebik could be the only means possible. It could possibly be the best long term option too. I’m sure the colts could get a good enough ‘05 goalie or very good OA goalie. Wigle is not exactly integral for team success.

I think Vaughan waives NTC otherwise he will see minimal ice rest of season. Wakely is becoming the top player on this team and a reunion of the NB line makes a lot of sense. Then I think Marty adds a veteran depth D with size and toughness. I think Vaughan and Wigle for Romani and VS is o done deal.
I wouldnt trade Hrebik or Hillebrandt. Maybe next year they move one out to recoup picks bc they both have to be starters next year.
I don't see them trading Newton or Handsor as neither would get much back and they are both late bday OHL players with upside and they will need some youth going forward.

Van Steensel Wakely Romani
Jelsma Beaudoin Patterson
Stewart Gardiner Hemming
Lowe Newton Derbridge/Martin
(or flip Jelsma and Stewart)-3rd line will be tough match up for 95% of teams-all 3 could be top lines on most teams)

D parings depend on if/who they bring in.

Hillebrandt/Hrebik- Both could be #1.

I don’t think the colts are too concerned about depth D with Tiller, Passmore, Handsor as 5-6-7.
I don’t think so either but they may try to bring in a 6/7 D that’s older like a Horner in Ottawa who can actually play both right wing and some defence who’s a 05 that would be a upgrade over Handsor in case of a injury. May include him in a Pinelli deal if that trade happens potentially in the future

I honestly hope the Colts don't rock the boat too much. With the D-Core we have and how well the goaltenders have played I think it's more about ensuring team chemistry remains solid. Make sure the PP is humming, stay disciplined, and compete hard 5v5 - this team can play with anyone else in the league. Sometimes adding a star in the mix/making big changes as you head down the stretch hurts more than it helps.

I agree mostly and I do think as of right now the colts beat every team in the league in a series expect London in which I still think the colts would have a chance. But if London adds Luchanko Barrie definitely has to make a counter move to compete with them. I’ve seen on X that the north bay Romani and OVS trade is bullshit so I like the idea of adding Pinelli and that should only cost Vaughan which does suck and a few picks but that would improve the team big time. Wigle needs to be upgraded imo too id want someone with size up front like a hookey in OS big guy that can score and fight. After that you’d have an amazing forward group with a solid defensive unit with 2 great goalies
Jelsma Wakely Hookey
Stewart Beaudoin Patterson
Pinelli Gardiner Hemming
Lowe Newton Derbidge

Aitcheson Bertucci
Eliasson Akey
Tiller Passmore

In my opinion that’s a championship type lineup especially with the goalie tandem that every team in the league would struggle to match up against in a 7 game series. Deadlines on the 10th can only hope for the best.

It is looking like Ottawa is trying to package Mayich with Pinelli. If Barrie were to add Mayich and Pinelli, it would be lights out. Mayich is a step behind K.Smith in physical force but he plays a much stronger puck movement game and can easily contribute int he top 4. It would drop Eliasson down to 3rd pair.

Wonder if that would mean Tiller would be moved to Ottawa or Barrie would keep him as the 7th D

I have no idea. I’ve heard the rumour of the Pinelli to Barrie deal with Vaughn and I’ve heard the rumour of trying to package Mayich with Pinelli (Ottawa has 4 OAs still) but not necessarily in the Barrie deal. So, I cannot say that is even a part of it. Only speculation. I don’t see why Ottaw swould take the ‘05. I think they’d prefer the ‘07 (Handsor). Of course, Ottawa would 100% prefer Passmore but I cannot see Barrie moving him int hat deal to round it out.

Sounds like Barrie is trying to get Vaughan to agree to waive his no trade clause. But if he and his family decide not to then I don’t see Barrie making many trades this deadline without many picks to offer. Probably be only able to upgrade Wigle and maybe add a depth D but probably only a OA upgrade. If they do keep Vaughan tho that makes Barrie a better team next year in a year I think they can still take a good run at it with Beaudoin Aitcheson Patterson Vaughan Lowe Stewart Bowen Gardiner Passmore tiller potentially Moore if he reports before going to school and hopefully the current 2 Imports or if not draft guys and the 2 solid tenders isn’t a bad spot to be going into next season. Will see what they do I think they definitely need a goal scorer to be a serious threat to London and other top teams in the east.
