While I don't see any road games, I am not sure why everyone is down on Hemming. The games I have seen he is hard working, wins a lot of battles and very sound defensively. Yes, we want him to put the puck in the net, but I'd rather him doing the things he's doing than put the puck in the net and be lazy elsewhere in the games (a la Oulasson). Also having him move all around the lineup can't be that easy for him. With all of the injuries, trades, and absences we've seen he hasn't had consistent linemates. He's also been put with non scoring players a lot of the time, expected to be a line driver.

They say if you're not getting chances...that's when you worry. Hemming gets a lot of chances and eventually he's going to figure out how to bury them on a consistent basis.

I would agree. It takes some time to adjust to the smaller rinks, contact, different linemates every night. I am anxious to see Hemming's second half especially if there is an upgrade to the top 9. All 3 of the top right wings could switch around if any go stale but Gardner, Patterson and Hemming are all looking real good.
Hemming on a 3rd line is a weapon and tough match-up for most teams in the league considering the depth Barrie has. The top two lines could be 1st lines on most teams and the 4th line can match up with most teams 3rd/4th lines without any issue. Some 2nds.
The D and goaltending have been excellent.
This team is legit.
On another note all I want to say is wow! Watching Aitcheson the last two nights it wouldn't shock me if he is the second CHL defenseman taken in the next draft. 2nd line PP, played PK and was a physical force all series. Add in he is the toughest kid on the CHL team. This kid gets better every time I watch him. Great job he represented Barrie and the coaches extremely well.
