If that’s the reason it can be the only explanation.

Maybe OHL4LIFE will know since he has sources and doesn’t want to tell us who he knows

why on earth would i expose who tells me what? have i been right alot in the past? yes? then who cares who tells me what

Can you confirm their intentions are to go all in this year?
nope, i havent heard either way, i only know what they think of their 02s and some other stuff that has nothing to do with management philosophy, they generally always try to win,

there is stuff outside of hockey that surrounds teams every year. nothing criminal or awful, but stories that flout out there. I’ve heard stuff about Windsor, London, Barrie, flint and more . I wasn’t there, so I won’t rely on secondary stories, it’s not fair to anyone. I don’t post drama, just trades and management shakeups, or my opinion on things. I won’t speculate on player happenings away from the rink because it’s not fair to them, you never get the true story. What if your wrong, your slandering someone for no good reason.

As far as I know, M.Williamson was brought in because the owner grew frustrated with Ford’s inability to deliver a championship, so I expect the plan is to contend.
Things out Williamson’s control can change that though, like Hamilton getting both Xhekaj and MacTavish. NB can be very good. Niagara just acquired 2-19 yr olds and 3-OAs for little more than a pick package for Dickenson if he proves defective. And, the Petes clearly intend to contend.

It's very unlikely he reports - but if he does watch out!

A hail mary pass for sure by Barrie but I think it's the best way to go about things if you don't have any guys that have commitments.

My thoughts going into the season;

I really don’t want to see 3 OA forwards broken up to fit Lemieux… I don’t mind him as a D man but really should he be taking the OA spot over
Cardwell? As I said I know Marty is a fan, but ideally I’d like to see:

McDonnell (TBL) - Haight (‘22) - Cardwell (SJS)
Jelsma (‘22) - Vierling (NYR) - Sale (‘23)
Del monte - Frasca - Matthews
Grisolia - Beaudoin - jodoin
Lowe
York
Pickell

Clarke (LAK) - Akey
Punnett - Cholach (VGK)
Tiller - aitcheson

Thornton (ARZ)
Chartrand

Looks alright. Of course, if logic serves us right, we should have a random 6th round pick to surprise and come out as a point per game player that can play first line minutes (not that there’s a log jam here already).

With all the picks at their disposable, definitely can trade those and young roster players to upgrade literally every position.

Players need to show improvement this year unlike last season.

With all the foreign prospects taken whether it be for this nhl draft or next, majority seem to say they are reporting?

Ollauson seemed like even more of a long shot and they got him not problem

He is already signed for the upcoming season with HC Kometa Brno - signs point to him staying in Czechia at least for the start of the season. Things can obviously change - but I wouldn't be penciling him into any starting lineups yet.

He very well could be a top-10 pick in next season's NHL draft.

I do think Lemieux has a good chance to return as one of the OAs. He gets better every year and the team seems to love him. The D core is pretty light without him after the first 3

Looking at your depth chart I could see them moving on from Del Monte as he seems to never be available.

If Sale commits and Cardwell gets moved (I also expect this) I could see the forward lines being something like this:

Jelsma - Vierling - McDonnell
Sale - Haight - Matthews
York - Frasca - Grisolia
Pickell - Beaudoin - Jodoin

Extras:
Lowe
Wigle
Smith

That would be a horrible usage of assets. 2 years in a row. But just because it’s Barrie I see it

This team is going to be fun to watch next year. There's just a couple of changes that I'd make, knowing that we don't have the talent to win it all next year.

1. Trade Vierling - It would be great to get a good return on Vierling. i just don't like his game very much. It's almost as though effort is lacking half the time. We have the C depth that need to play in order to contend in a couple of years. This means that players like Haight, Frasca, Beaudoin, Grisolia and even players like Pickell need to play more. We simply cannot have an OA that's going to average roughly a pt./gm and demand a lion share of the minutes.
2. We need one more reliable, STAY AT HOME D. I'm not interested in getting another rush the puck D, but just someone that's going to play hard nosed D.

Are you new around here? Nice to meet ya

Vierling bang on. Has a lot of natural talent but seems to give it 60%.

Talent makes him a good player alone but… talent doesn’t work without work itself.

If cardwell really gets traded what are we realistically looking at? A 2nd plus another pick for an OA capable of 100 points?

Signs indicate to me that Marty what’s to build his team solely off the players he drafts. What I don’t like is go get Thornton for the year but trade cardwell? No more half runs. We need all eggs in 1 basket like 2010. Trade Clarke this year if you’re really going for it next.

Early Barrie prediction: they trade a bunch of those picks for Shane Wright next deadline. Think he’ll be back in Kingston now and he and Clarke are best friends. This of course assuming Clarke is in the OHL next year

If they go for wright it be interested to see what else they do. Imagine othmann as well? No, flint won’t be sellers?

Even if they do trade Cardwell (dumb if they did), Marty still going all in at the signs of the acquisition of Anson.

Flip us Harrison on the cheap and we’ll send you akey the year after lol

Colts have enough blend of picks, young players to get all of Wright, del Mastro and Johnston next season. Take action make it happen

Sounds good to me. You’d be losing that deal tho. Only getting half a year of Harrison for 2.5 years of Akey haha. Unless you won it all next year, then there is no lost trades

Moved to the area from BC and decided to get season tickets last year.

Big congrats to HH for getting drafted in the 2nd. I'm hoping Clarke comes back next year and we make a run. I truly believe we are going to have all the pcs to go for it the year after next.
