They posted this goal, dunno why they didn't put up any of the others. There were some good ones tonight.
So, about Robins, with about 25 seconds left in the game there was a collision down by the boards (I couldn't see it from where I was) and at the next stoppage he hobbled off to the locker room immediately. I was guessing it might not be too bad because he went back without any help.
I liked what I saw in general from the Cuda tonight, they showed some offensive creativity, and they were doing a good job of jamming the Condors at the blue line on zone entries. It's only preseason, but hey, that's a good thing.
Mentioned their two goals were a little frustrating. The first one, Makiniemi had it under him but couldn't figure out where, and Tullio poked it past him. The second, Supryka of the Condors had just come out of the box while the puck was being cleared, which turned it into an impromptu 2-on-1 for them.
I didn't get to see yesterday's game (obviously) but one thing I'm noticing is that they pass around the offensive zone a little too much and end up firing blue line shots that don't get through. I wonder if it was the same yesterday, because the shot count tonight shows the Condors outshooting us 37-27, but we had plenty of zone time and 6 power plays to their 1. Just not shots that reached their net. Exception was the third period- just no flow in the third at all tonight, Puck just deflected back and forth and then the time ran out.
