And we're down again.

This team kind of reminds me of the McLellan era sharks. They have a nearly 2 to 1 shot advantage but most of it hasn't been dangerous.

The last stopped canucks shooter was an ex vancouver giant (1 of two on abbotsford).

A small part of me almost wanted him to score to extend the shootout.

Fun game. Barracuda went down 3-1 in the first, scored three straight to win 4-3.

Two goals each for Reedy (who also had 1A) and Blichfeld, three assists for Gregor.

Gregor's currently the best forward down here, easily. 12 points in 8 games so far. Blichfeld's starting to get back into better form. Hoping his early season struggles were just him getting over whatever injury he had early.

It seems like Gregor has nothing more to learn at the AHL level.

Gregor has entered the Gambrell zone for me now. Can he find a way to translate this to NHL success, or is he just an AAAA-level player?

Because Gambrell would come to the Cuda and be one of the best players on the ice. But we all saw how that went.

I think Gregor's issue is that he isn't a fast enough thinker to turn his physical talents into NHL success. He has the speed and shot to play, and he can be physical, but he doesn't seem to know how to use his skills against NHL teams.

I think he's worth another chance this year and maybe next year if he can show some promise, but I'm kinda thinking he's going to wind up a perpetual waiver-wire fourth liner.
