Heat Gallant suspended 2 games
Emond looked shaky, but had basically no shot at most of the goals he let up today. Defense couldn't handle many of the backdoor passes.
It's hard to read anything into these games because half of our roster is currently ECHL callups and tryout players. Gregor's playing well, Blichfeld had a goal and three assists this weekend but is playing very soft. Today was his best game on the season, I'd say.
Two goals for McGrew today, and Hamaliuk's first AHL goal. Hamaliuk is improving some, isn't looking quite so invisible.
Wish I could find a longer clip of this goal, because Chmelevski brought it up almost the way from our goal line:
7-3 Stars yesterday, 7-5 Barracuda today.
I missed both games this weekend. How did Cicek look?

How does Chlemevski look? I love some of our more heralded prospects but boy it’d be nice to see him take some real strides.
They moved him back to center seemingly out of necessity around the time Gambrell departed, and on the season he's not done much of anything. I still think he's better off on the wing, it's where he produced best last season by far. But, we have nobody else that can play center at the moment.
He scored two points today, including the goal there, but both were on the PP. He's yet to produce a point 5v5 this season.
Hum, not great. He was real promising at one point, not sure if that’s the case anymore…?

I mean by "real promising" most people were saying he would cap at a 3c or 3rd line winger. A lot of people read too much into being excited that a 7th rounder might make the showI think that he was only ever a "real promising prospect" because:
1) Fans tend to overrate their prospects (especially late-rounders).
2) He was exactly the type of pick the Sharks *should* have been making.
3) Water is divine to the parched man. He was drafted/developed during a time when the prospect cupboard was bare.
He was a 7th-round pick; their chances of becoming good NHLers are minute. Now that he faces some decent competition for an NHL spot it is looking more and more likely that he's just a career AHLer. Hope he disproves me!

I think career AHL player is pretty promising for a 7th rounder lolWell, a lot of people were saying 2C as his ceiling. Honestly, a 7th rounder becoming a 3C/3L winger is also "real promising." Career AHL player is not.
