And no, there’s nothing ironic. He speculated that Barkov has shown immaturity by having issues with his kids mom and perhaps isn’t captain material, and you think I’m out of line? Lol.

People have issues with their kids’ moms all the time and it affects them all differently. There’s lines being drawn all over the place because people are pissed about the team, but there’s ZERO proof it has to do with this. People thought he stayed behind to deal with it and he had pneumonia for f***s sake.

I’m really not trying to be a dick, though it may seem that way, I just went through shut with my kids’ mom and yeah it was really hard, but I showed up to work everyday and got great reviews still. I dealt with rumors and hearsay when she was the one being a bitch, so perhaps I’m being a bit sensitive to it cause I went through it (and got A LOT of apologies), but while a lot is discussed here, some things need proof imo.

Ah I see, and yeah, some people are better at not letting their personal life affect their work than others. Whether it's the case with Barkov we don't really know for sure. I always agreed with you on that.

I also do think if it is the case, that doesn't detract fully from Barkov being the right choice as a captain. While it would set a great example to perform to your standard despite dealing with personal issues, we all know you can be a player with leadership qualities even if your individual play is nothing to write home about.

Whether he is the right choice.. unless we get some anecdotes from current or former panthers players it's hard to know seeing as we aren't in the locker room.

That sucks and I can see why you're sensitive about it. I'm not trying to be disrespectful and have purposely not discussed the actual relationship or situation between Barkov and mom.

We're just not going to agree on this and I'm just going to leave it at that. Don't want to drag this out anymore. Merry Christmas and here's hoping whatever it is bothering Barkov gets resolved by the new year.

War in Ukraine might affect him even more than this kid battle. Both of his parents came from Russia. Luckily Anton Levtchi was recalled from Charlotte because he also has Russian parents and still grandparents living in St. Petersburg. He played with Sasha in Tappara's junior teams. So maybe they can help each other if there are issues that make it difficult to concentrate on professional sports.

Y’all needa ease up on some gold digger assumption. This suit could be about anything from full custody to raise the child in Finland or acknowledgement of paternity and child support or whatever. Nowhere is there evidence that baby momma poked a hole in the condom as a get rich quick scheme and is trying to seize half of his assets after a sham marriage in Vegas.

What a hilarious thread, Barkov f***ed a girl without protection, and now he has to figure the shit in court just like you do in murica. What's the big deal here?

Isn't it like common to sue your employer for 700million if you stub your toe at work?
