He has been much better at Center.

The team is much better with him at Center.

He has shown good vision over the past couple of games. Finding Fox on the SHG. Setting up Trouba yesterday.

He's the perfect 3C for us. Now to get him some 'better linemates'... and I mean stylistically... Barron would be a good start. If our 3rd line could 'tilt' the ice like our 4th line, and forecheck and possess the puck... It changes things dramatically.

You can make passes as a winger too. Neither of those passes, while nice plays, scream center.
 
I don't care what position he plays but I don't get why he is not on the third line. The only thing I can think of is that Strome is awful defensively so they want a more veteran winger there and that's why they haven't tried Goat or Laf in that position or even Chytil. They don't want to move Kakko back down because he's part of their matchup line and they don't have much in the wing position after him that can play defense. I think swapping out Chytil with Goodrow is going to make the most minimum amount of a difference for that third line so I'd rather see Laf or Goat get moved up to 2RW.
 
Goodrow is a very good 3rd liner, I’d prefer if Gallant leaves him there.
Whether he’s playing center or a wing that takes face offs, is up for discussion.
Hunt also belongs back on 4th line

When he was signed I was hopeful he’d be a staple on this teams 3rd line for a while. Be it center or wing, it doesn’t matter. Right now they need depth at center. If Barron develops at center, he can easily slide to wing and provide a solid 5C option which all teams need.

He should be centering Lafreniere and they should find him a veteran RW. That’s a 3rd line.

I figure with what they are paying him, if he isn’t a detriment at third line center, that’s what he should be.

He can take out Danault role, they just need to find the right wingers for him in that group. Not sure Gaut or Laf are the right ones.

True. But i think the center role is more determined by how the player handles the defense responsibilities.

And play Chytil with Bread and Strome? Worth a shot. Hunt is a nice player but that’s like is really struggling to make noise. Maybe it works for the line and Chytil.

They need to try something else with Chytil. They need to change up the 3rd line. Maybe Kakko goes back with Panarin/Strome and Chytil goes with Zib/Kreider. Chytil is not a Center

Half of Kreider's points come on the PP so it wouldn't affect his production as much as it would seem.

I will give the man his due, as much as I have criticized the signing and his play most of the season, he's been very good the past few games. Hope he keeps playing like this.
