Propane is easier

Don't bother with electric unless you're forced

Again, not necessarily - mine makes it incredibly easy. Fill your starter with charcoal, stick it over the propane burner, the propane lights off the charcoal, and voila. Easily the best of both worlds.

Their point is still valid.

No need to deal with the starter or charcoal.

Much easier just to open the propane and ignite it.

Only ever used propane.....although my dad used to have the old-school charcoal variety when I was a wee lad.
