I feel like it's smaller than even 2012. I mean, this kind of came out of nowhere. It's not like we were a dominant regular season team. We were down 3-1 against Pittsburgh. And then bam! We're up 2-0 in the Conference Finals. Honestly, it doesn't even feel real. I don't know how to process it. And I don't think the bandwagon has had enough time to get all hyped up.

Can't stand talking Rangers with bandwagon fans. Have no patience for them, especially when they act like they know the game, but have no clue what they are watching. Drives me nuts.

I used to get upset because more people didnt like hockey. Now i could care less. I dedicate so much time and energy to the game and team I love, that I really have no time for those who bad mouth the game the entire year until something like this happens. And i love how the talk show guys in NY try to talk hockey and they cant. lol. Hilarious.

Why would you expect the NY Times to put the rangers on the front page? Like as the main story? This is a national well respected newspaper that primarily reports real news.

As for the bandwagon, I'd say that where I live, people hop on the bandwagon the second the playoffs start.

I don't talk to hockey about anyone in my office... but that's because I live in D.C. and can only have so many conversations about why Ovechkin is better than Crosby.

So glad that place opened up, watched a few games this winter, none were Rangers games. Saw two Hawks games, so many fans from different boroughs come to watch their Hawks. Committed !

I actually had an awful experience there last year during the Rangers/Bruins series, I think it was the Sunday blowout the day of the Norwegian parade. It was only moderately crowded but took an entire period to get a drink.

I'm glad I eventually went back recently. I think they finally hired local people to tend bar. As I am sure you know Bay Ridge is populated exclusively with semi-professional bartenders.

Absolutely !

If we make it to the finals, first rounds on you !

Love Windy City. Have caught more than a few games there both this year and last.

Last night was packed, but Saturday was pretty light now that I think about it.

I don't think we will get many band wagoners. It'll mainly being fair weather fans. The rest of the league thinks were just gunna get destroyed by the team out of the west

You guys are lucky to live in a city with a legit bandwagon. The bandwagon here is filled people that like a team in the absolute worst sport on the face of this earth.

I told someone if Elle MacPherson and Kate Upton said they would only make love to me both at the same time if I watched a Heat game, I would be going solo, it wouldn't be worth it.

So I say to you, enjoy the excitement, enjoy your inner bandwagon.

Even in the office, the non-hockey fans are beginning to speak. If the Rangers can win a 3rd game, everything will ratchet up.

Day games were not as crowded but still more than average for a 1PM start around here at any other bar.

Fair deal.

If we win I will buy a beverage for every man, woman and child in Bay Ridge.

If Sunday is a possible sweep I may actually make my visit earlier :D

Talked to this guy over the weekend about game 1. He was really into it and made it out as a big fan. Asked if he caught what happened to Brassard since I missed the beginning of the game. He's like who? And that was that.

The plight of the hockey fan:

-Complain about how hockey is not popular enough

-When team does well, lament the attention from the "bandwagon fans"

Its takes about 2 seconds to find out who is a real fan and who is not

Don't have to deal with a bandwagon up here except for all the Bruins fans who are now Rangers fans for the duration :)

I'd rather not talk hockey with anyone, outside of you guys here and the few people I know that love it as much as I do. No one understands my feelings for this team or this sport. How much it means to me. HOw it's been unwavering for me through difficult times in my life. It's something I can always count on.

It's selfish of me, but I hate the bandwagon. I hate how everyone knows how much I love this sport and then I'm the guy they come talk to when we do well. It feels like dishonesty. Maybe I'm weird, I don't know.

But last night, seeing guys I went to high school with who never spoke once about hockey in the 4 years I knew them are all of a sudden wearing old Rangers jerseys i"m sure they picked out of some box in their attic.

It just makes me feel weird, but at the end of the day, if we get to that moment, it's going to mean so much to me, to just see it once. I can truly say it will be life changing. As if I"m achieving a goal and can now move on to something new. I pray that is this year. I pray it's every year. Just one is all I need. I was to young to realize 94' for what it was.

I was sincerely scared when I committed to buy the playoff tickets and didnt look closely enough at the price rises through the rounds. I thought if by some miracle they made it all the way to the SCF I would be screwed on money I could never get back. All of a sudden the people who work in my office with me have been asking about playoff tickets and how much it would cost for them to lure them away from me.. Crazy numbers thrown around. These are people whom I do not think watched a single regular season game. I'm in central Jersey as well (heart of Devil country) so yeah bandwagon affect is full force here!

Still more Rangers fans central Jersey than Debbies fans, though, dude. :D

It may be the "heart" of their fanbase, but it's a mouse heart.

I never wear any Rangers gear during the playoffs since I feel like I'm a jinx whenever I do. I do go and look at my jerseys whenever possible, though.

I can picture that now, awesome. Hockey fans are so amazingly superstitious, I love it.
