Propecia is effective in a large % of men. Too bad I believe it's a banned substance because it can hide steroid use. At the same time they're professional athletes so I don't feel all that bad.

Propecia definitely slows down the speed of baldness but unfortunately I know men who use it and still went bald. It just saved as much as it could.

I know he's retired, but when did Chris Pronger turn into Fraser Crane?

Give him some wine and tickets to the opera. Perhaps his own radio show as well.

Lol what? This is textbook early balding, the guy is 24, he will be bald in 3 years if he doesn't use a hair transplant.

This is such an edgy post. Did you lose your hair fast once it receded back abit? Receding hairline is balding but to say he'll need a transplant in 3 years is funny.

I did not lose my hair at all, already well into my 30s. Its not about me. Sequins hairline receded significantly in his early 20s, and the trend will continue for sure, this is how it works.

My barber says that you have to wait till you hit 30 to see if you'll go bald. If hairline survives till then, you'll be fine. So for the younger players you'll have wait a bit more to find out.

Regarding hat wearing, before WW2, no man in public would have been seen without a hat on, in summer or in winter. But then again, they did not wear them indoors either, all day long.

I'm 31 and noticed I was losing a bit of my hair last year. I never even thought about it happening because I've always had pretty long hair and my dad hasn't lost a bit of hair in his life. But, as they say, my mom's side of the family is weak in the hair department so here I am. Now I'm dangerously close (as in, like, the next few days) to going to my barber and just getting it buzzed real short for the first time in my life.

I've also worn hats a ton throughout my life but I've always heard that's a myth anyway.

Back to the topic at hand, I don't remember the last time I saw Barret Jackman or Eric Nystrom with hair.

I would call that normal for his age as opposed to balding.

Peoples hair lines do mature a bit and recede but only by a very small amount. Receding by inches like that means hair loss. It might slow down a little or it might speed up, but in general losing hair in that pattern with that much receding rarely ever stops

He may not come to mind right away, but I think Carl Hagelin would be in pretty bad shape if his hair were cut short.

Bald guys are consistently perceived in studies as more masculine, taller, and physically stronger than guys with a full head of hair (albeit less attractive). It is guys with thinning hair that get the real short end of the perceptual stick.

But really... Imagine replacing these pictures with Down Syndrome kids and the comments stay the same. "Lol, he never had a chance" or "lol, looks like he's gonn have to wear a helmet forever!"

Prejudice is prejudice. Making fun of someone for something that is genetic is inherently a dick move.

So you must be fun at the office

TIL people on this forum seem to really care about their (and others) hair.

I know you don't want to make a bet on that since you're completely clueless.

Excuse me? Male pattern baldness is no rocket science, I don't understand your agenda here (maybe projecting own insecurities), but if you lose 1,5 inch of your hairline before 24th birthday, its sure ain't stoping there. By the looks of it he is already well into the 2nd stage, entering 3rd stage soon.

Stamkos isn't going bald per say but he's definitely losing it on the sides. I think he should just buzz it.
