Not too sure, but I'd guess injury. He'd definitely be above a guy like Kannok-Leipert on the depth chart.
It could be the veteran rule too. Bako has a bunch of guys that would be considered veterans and they can only ice six of them per game.

Always tend to forget about the roster rules when looking at AHL statistics.
Yep. It’s the bet rule so they have to rotate vets. It’s an issue when you have little AHL prospects and just run a vet AHL squad.

Really wish AHL.com just had basic TOI stats. Would like to see what sort of ice time and zone starts Chaulk gives some of the younger guys.
