As someone already remarked on the thread--if Savoie can produce at a point a game clip then its probable that the Oilers have a player who will make it to the NHL roster. That's good news for such a bare prospect cupboard.

How about Petrov? How is he doing--is he playing on the powerplay and getting a lot of 5*5 ice time?

When I watched him in junior hockey I was sure that the quick release would generate a number of goals at the AHL level but as always, its difficult to evaluate 17 year olds.

Savoie really has high level skill. He just needs to keep learning how to make the most of his size at the pro level. If he can get that down he will be a top 6 guy for us for sure.

Condors were bullying them physically in the 1st it was kinda funny.

Savoie looked great, beautiful goal, looked dangerous all night, somehow didn’t look undersized in person either. He’s got a future.

Size never hurt Theo Fleury. If Savoie can approach those stats in his career then the Oilers have a good find.
