As a matter of fact, I'm reporting this post too.

The 3 players that I've noticed, that have really elevated their game this year are Neiddereiter, Ehlers and Connor. Hope these guys keep up their level of play, as it's making a huge difference in the win column.
Hard to pick 3.
Connor is easy he is actually back checking.
I’m extremely surprised by berg.
3rd spot is hard. Is it perfetti looking legit? Is it Kupari looking like an nhler.
Is it ehlers? Is it Nino?

I may have to eat a little crow on him, but I'm waiting to see what happens against better teams. He has been good since the Toronto fiasco.
Likewise. I'd love to eat a heaping bowl of crow and see Stan turn into what the Jets hoped he would. At the moment I still think he's a serviceable 3rd pairing guy, but more games like he had against Tampa and I'll start prepping the spices.

What's your excuse?
I've always been higher than most on this board for Stanley, and this run of play is even a pleasant surprise to me.

He's the complete antithesis of what I prefer in a defenseman nowadays - give me some slick breakout passes and ability to jump into the rush please - But gosh darn do I sometimes love to have a bruiser/tough guy with a cannon of a shot back there on the bottom pair.

That hit the other day made me think of Stanley as great-value Big Buff, who might have been my favourite player of all time when he was cooking on defense - Definitely my favourite Jet of all time.

Seem to remember that it took Buff awhile to figure it out on D and a certain coach moved him up to forward to straighten him out!

I want my bird rotisseried at Costco.

I'm still concerned with his penalties that come when he is being beaten and with what a fast, skilled team will do to him. But for now, I think he has earned the benefit of a little doubt from me. He has been mostly good for 4 consecutive games now and getting better.

Pionk is a surprise.
I'm not surprised tbh. We've seen him play like this before. I just think he needed the right partner.

I don't think Demelo gets enough credit for his role in allowing Morrissey to play to his potential and become an elite defenseman, maybe Slammy is Pionk's Demelo?

And then add him doing some physical and emotional healing, and being the competitive little bugger he is and you could see a bounce back for him.

Also, play level can really permeate through a team - belief and confidence can affect multiple players good and bad, I think we've seen both with this group.
