Assuming USA is fully healthy, I have them as the favourites in Italy.

I think this is kind of silly though. I mean it's not like Team Canada or Team USA are static things. The players are always changing. Team USA 2025 is not Team USA 2014. I mean the Habs had a pretty good track record for years. It doesn't really apply now.

I wasn't making a literal comparison to the political events. I was referring to what was motivating the eventual winning team. In this case, it was politics.

As baseball is (was?) the US pastime, hockey is Canada’s. The same thing is happening in hockey as happened in baseball as more of the world embraces your game as their own.

Look, I know we can't dip into politics here. But for Canadian fans (not necessarily the players), a large part of this was politically motivated.

When the White House representative (The hot blonde, dont know her name), directly says "We look forward to beating our soon-to-be 51st state" the day of the game, it's going to create political tension for Canadian fans.
