You do realize Zidlicky and Harrold are the only two Devils defenseman who have even the slightest ability to move the puck up ice, pass the puck, and *GASP* actually put the puck somewhere on net.

Then again it was Mighty Duck weekend so maybe it was just an atmosphere in the arena.

If the Devils lose Thursday OTT and Saturday NYR Pete is most likely gone.

Although losing to Columbus would be the icing on the cake.
8-2-1 against them in our history.

Realistically I know everyone wants him gone now but we all know how long Lou takes to pull the trigger AKA Johnny Mac.

He has a 10 game limit at this point. (hopefully)

Omg, they don't nearly have the same team as 14 years ago. Teams change, hell much of the 2000 team was gone by 2003. Dallas and Colorado fell off a hell of a lot faster than NJ did.

Johnny Mac was in his first season with us. Lou also spent about 8 years getting him ready for the head coaching job. He was canned after 31 games.

lou has not been a good gm for years now and his methods are borderline wirtz level. dont get me started on the ****ing coach.

Honestly, I don't know if it matters anymore. This defense isn't going to be helped dramatically by anything within the system right now. They need to upgrade via trade, and who knows when that would happen.

I wanted DeBoer to modernize Devils hockey but instead he's just killed it.

No coverage of the slot, losing board battles, risky passes from both talented and untalented players. Constantly cycling while wishing and hoping that you get that one perfect offensive play that never comes. And even if it does come, the player flubs the shot.

We've pretty much arrived at the opposite of the team's identity over a period of 40 games. Maybe earlier than that. (Insert Kovy joke here)
