DeBoer: "We're trying to shuffle lines, we're trying to move some people in and out of the lineup. We've got to find a way to get a win."

If I hear this ONE. MORE. TIME.

he has to find a ticket out of town

i think he has two more games with this team... if he they beat Ottawa and can beat the rangers he will have bought himself some time

Travis is a good guy, but that contract is cringe worthy. It's hard to not judge him by that contract.

And yet most of this board defended it at the time for reasons that are still valid. We could not afford to lose another major UFA that quickly and his value to the Devils is more than to other teams.

That said, we're fans of a non-sexy team that plays even an even less sexy market. The Devils going to be overpaying for UFAs most of the time.

TG should shut up and do his job, I don't really care about his opinion. Its not like the Rangers are doing much better.

Relevance of that statement? Yes he may be a Rangers fan but I am not sure how that matters. Someone needs to call out this clown show.

Trying to shuffle the lines? Trying to move people in and out? Seriously, that is total bs. Rotating the same 2/3 players in and out and expected miracles is terrible coaching.

because he is a terrible coach.

He is awful at maximizing the talent on this team and awful at gametime situation awareness.

Great system, sure but that isn't the whole gig and he's failing at the rest.

I just think people need to temper expectations. Anyone expecting Henrique/Zajac to be more than 40 point players are kidding themselves. Really. Just look at what kind of players they are.

No use being mad at those guys.

If this proves to be true, the Devils are in a world of trouble. Personally, I still think they're capable of 60 points. Not saying it's going to happen, but they have the potential.

it's more of a lou thing.

lou gave them those contracts. that's where my hate comes from at least.

Most of this board was perfectly fine with the Henrique contract as well if I recall. Reasonable price for buying two years of UFA. That's going to be third line money (if it isn't already) the way the salary cap is headed.

The writing is on the wall here Lou...

He better not make the same ****ing mistake that he did with JMac. No time for "patience", do something NOW or get ready to give up a top 5 pick.

I'm going to say Lou should be the one on the way out.

They can be 60 pt players at least Zajac can.

Henrique probably is a 50 pt player.

Issue is Zajac NEEDS a true sniper or Parise type with him. That's on Lou to get the centers some legit support.

Ryder is a good start maybe even Brunner but we NEED that game breaking 1st line winger.

Lou went and got us Kovy...maybe he can steal someone else again.

Yeah, I don't see switching lines up doing too much. Of course some players are going to complement each others styles better but that should be easy to figure out and beyond that the team basically has three forward lines of 2nd line players. By 2nd line players I mean players that will produce offensively but only on a secondary scoring level.

Ryder might be an exception. I don't recall how high his totals have been lately.

I'm going to say Lou should be the one on the way out.

Aside from a few trades here and there..there isnt much left for Lou to hang his hat on the last 3-4-5 yrs.

Hate to say it I love the man but I'm not totally opposed to a new GM/Direction.

Part of what makes the Devils who they are...especially for fans like most of us who have been with them for so long is the "family" about the team and that DOES start from Lou and works it's way out...but if we miss the playoffs AGAIN...3 times in 4 yrs...I can't see us NOT making a change at the top.

Irony is I said that about Loktionov's potential and it created a ****storm of epic proportions. But I digress.

I think in order for them to achieve 60 they need to be on lines with players that complement them. Zajac with Jagr and Zubrus, most likely, and Henrique with Kovalchk and Parise.

A+ plus post. Lou is also going to be 70 years old in a few days...he can't keep doing this.

I think we're going to get absolutely steamrolled against the Senators

The Devils don't match up well that's certain. Sens are fast and young with much scoring potential that goes through a few heavy hitters. Devils are an older, slow team that scores by committee. Both have excellent goaltending for the most part.

every0one hates peter harrold but he is probably the fastest guy on the devils.

he has to play

Harrold was the Devils 2nd best defenseman tonight, behind Bryce Salvador.

Greene and Larsson (you pick the order) were the two worst defensemen tonight.

For once, Volchenkov wasnt a horrendous trainwreck. Zidlicky was below average.

Greene has had a disappointing start to the year. I've been saying it since game 1. We need to shake things up, badly.

So unless we're trading for someone big - the coach has to go.

Schneider nailed it with the media tonight.

How bout you don't put Harrold out there in the dying minutes there Petey? Feel free to stop rotating scratched young players as well, although those vets you are playing are doing a great job getting no wins.
