I love how much talk there is about putting Seider on PP1 when this guy is going to claim that spot within a couple years lmao.

I like how people just assume this, despite Seider having 52 pts as a rookie and looking quite good on pp1, and last year he had 42 pts with limited pp1 time. Seider has untapped offence in my opinion. ASP has to worry about his defence first to have a shot at being an NHL player.

Except Brandsegg-Nygård is neither from the local area or Skellefteå's junior system so none of that applies to him.
I know. I was making a point about Skellefteå's development system and the fact that they give young players chances.

They will hoard juniors from nearby areas from small towns. Norway is a bit far away but does not make any difference. It's just good scouting on that level to find great talents.

It's a good and clear junior path.

Yes, ASP's likely place on the pp a couple years down the road totally justifies Seider, in the here and now, taking a back seat to a third pair scrub because he was once part of a successful pp several years ago in Chicago.
Thats probably the coaching staff's reasoning also.

Bro we have negative good prospects. We need to trade the whole roster and farm and become ab90s expansion team to get gud.
Dude. Our prospect pool is basically neutral, not good or bad overall ……until you account for Cross Hanas. Definitely negative good prospects with him in the mix.

Damn, that makes me miss the glory days. Can't we just, like, trade our prospects and future 1st round picks for the rights to 50% of Jim Nill's brain so we can once again have a semblance of scouting prowess in this franchise? Is that how this works? Why haven't we drafted the second coming of Pavel Datsyuk already?

It will never be the same as the good ol' days man

I know you're obviously joking. BUT! Are we so traumatized from overrating the likes of Sproul, Oullet, Frk, Tvrdon, Jurco, Nestrasil, Nedomlel...I mean the list goes on and on for the prospects I thought would be absolute steals, that we are now extreme in the other direction where we DETEST all of our prospects?

I think this could be a nice change in that we would always be pleasantly surprised when a prospect isn't total trash in the NHL.

He did get battled off the puck down the boards on an empty net goal. But overall played OK when his team overall were second best for most of the game.
I forgot to mention that ENG play on him in the prospect thread, as I immediately turned the game off after that goal lmao

Gonna edit the score from 3-2 to 4-2 in my post :(

I think the trauma is more recent. I remember arguing with everyone here about Zadina, Svech, and Cholo.

Now, Imma gonna jinx it by saying that I like this kid, he's the real deal, and has the potential of replacing Gus next season.
