  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Bednar might like Happy. He seems to be a goal scorer and loves to go to the dirty areas. We need both those qualities. He will need to cool it will Bednar though.

Reactions: Colorado Avalanche
This one sucks. I know Drury was going to be expensive for the “4C” role, but that line had a ton of success with him. Gave up the significantly better player and I just don’t think the money saved is worth sacrificing what he provided.

I think Drury performed well above his weight in the second half of the season and playoffs. I think he will prove to be an effective 3C but I understand why he was moved when the Avs have as many C’s as they do and such little money.

While a 3rd rounder doesn’t really mean much, I’m surprised the Avs had to add that pick to make this deal happen when they were already giving up the clear most valuable player in the deal. I predict that in 2029 when that 3rd rounder is coming up there will be many jokes about how we gave up Drury and a 3rd for nothing because those two guys no longer around.

Given the circumstances I like the effort. Hope they had discussions on whether these are actually players Bednar wants to ice instead of dick around with. Because chances are...

L'Heureux has legit skill on both ends of the ice. If he can keep his head in check I think we have a player there... his mental stability is indeed comparable to Downie's though, and that's hard to accept for any coach - not just Bednar.
