Avs Trade De Haan Parsinnen A 2nd and A 4th to NYR for Lindgren 50 Retained Vesey Prospect Hank Kempf

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I was the most cynical about this trade (even though I figured he’d be better than CDH) and so far dude has proven me way wrong. Perfect fit.

He might have played the best out of all the (near) deadline deals so far.

Exactly what they needed for the 5/6 LD spot. Fits well with both Manson and Malinski. They just needed to fill the 3/4 RD spot too.

I f***ing hated this pick up when the trade was announced but after 10 games I'm ready to eat my crow.

Lindgren was terrible in NY but I'm just continually impressed by how good he looks in Colorado. He's just a steady solid defenseman who can skate and play with a physical edge. I see him a lot like a younger Josh Manson who doesn't make as many boneheaded mistakes. Getting off the top pairing in NY and playing behind Makar and Toews seems to have helped him a ton. I think his impact will be even more evident in the playoffs when the games tighten up and get more physical.

Pro scouting hasn't been as great in the last 12-24 months but I think you can probably tally this one as a win.

Now I'm sitting here hoping they extend him and move on from Manson. What a world we live in.

This is why, just purely listening to other teams fan base comments about a player should be taken with a grain of salt.

You never know how a player will adapt to a new system, perhaps new motivation, etc.

Sometimes other teams fans are very, and sometimes very wrong.

Still won’t stop people from not giving players a chance to at least play a few games before making an assessment.

Quite a few of us were actually happy with this trade because we were pretty sure he would look a lot better on lower D pairings. Lindy was to the Rangers what Holden was to us in the past. Great pickup.

Do we have any intention of signing this Hank Kempf fella? I imagine we do if he was a throw in for the trade. Will try to watch Cornell on TV during hockeys version of March madness.

I think CMac said he is someone they have had their eye on, or something in that regard. I too would imagine they will at least try signing him.

This is how I would rate the play of our trade acquisitions this year based off expectations and results (some larger sample size than others):

1. Necas
2. Blacky
3. Lindgren
4. Wedgy
5. Nelson/Coyle (Nelson has a chance to move up dramatically if he keeps up his play; I always thought he looked good even when he wasn't producing)
6. Drury (hard to even put him here as I've loved what he's brought for the most part)
7. Vesey

I'm sure I've missed someone. INSANE how much different this squad looks from our opening day roster.
