Confirmed with Link: Avs Sign Oskar Olausson to ELC

I actually thought he looked fine as limited as his opportunity was. He had a good chase down that led to him grabbing the puck, you can see he has some puck skills and his shot still looks good. Hopefully he builds a bit of momentum and either surprises us or has enough value to be moved as an asset

Still thinking this?

Yes, and if that's what it was, it might not be a good sign that the Avs sent him back down so quickly, since he didn't really stand out much. Or maybe it's still on the table I don't know.

Maybe it wasn't for a defenseman trade though, maybe it was to add to Mitts in a Miller trade?

For some reason I have in my mind that Vancouver has been connected to OO in the past. Did we hear rumors about him linked to a potential Boeser trade? Maybe I'm misremembering.

I don't know about OO/Boeser, I do know they reportedly were keen on both Byram and Newhook in a J.T Miller trade two summers ago to which the Avs said no.

Olausson was very meh for me. Not the worst of the revolving door 4th liners, but closer to the bottom than the top.

Flashy tools, poor hockey sense. He liked to have the puck on his stick, but on multiple occasions tried to skate through the other team to rip a shot, rather than utilizing his teammates. Looked lost in the d-zone, too.

There was one play last night that was frustrating. Puck was dumped into the Habs corner, he beat Montreal's defender by a half second, but held up because he didn't want to take a hit. If that's any other player on the team, Colorado would be generating zone time. Instead, the puck was cleared out.

I saw the same. I'm sure our coaches and front office saw it too
