I could definitely see why the scouts liked him during preseason. He was a monster in board battles, seemed to always come away with the puck whenever he went in on the forecheck. If he develops even a little bit of offense, he could turn into a big 4th liner who is a giant pain in the ass on the forecheck.

I guess they liked him too. Good for him to go from an overager who was on nobody's radar to a 7th round pick to an ELC in the span of six months.

I think they want to play him in the Eagles, so they decided to give him an ELC. Is he old enough for an AHL contract?

Maybe its cause we drafted him? Ivan Ivan got an AHL contract before getting ELC.

He could be on an AHL deal… that would have been the better route IMO.

I said a few days ago that I thought he had a very good camp so I am very happy with this. Hopefully he can develop a bit of offense in the AHL and later become a good 4th line option for the Avs.
