Korchinski was drafted not even 3 years ago yet. He basically had a lost season forced into the NHL when he wasn't ready. If you're evaluating players on what they are at 20 or 21, you're going to miss out on a whole lot of Keiths, Sharps, Buffs, Hammers, etc. Most players aren't what they are until 23/24/25.

This I agree with 100%. That said, if they land someone like Schaefer or have a similar grade on Kaiser/EDM as Korchinski and Korchinski has more trade value then there is nothing wrong with looking for a swap if it involves an equivalent young forward coming back in return.

I don't really worry about Davidison understanding the timeline. I worry about Danny and the business side telling him/expecting it to happen sooner than it should. This should be a 5 year rebuild which means 2 more tank years and ideally top 3 picks. After that the org should be very balanced and ready to contend.

Korchinski can be your trade piece but not this summer. He needs to rehab his value in the NHL next year. I think he can do that pretty easily. If you trade him this summer you’re trading low.

Yup 100%, ideally I’d prefer for us to be in on McKenna next year. Regardless I’d expect at least another lottery pick. Next season is still part of the development process. Rebuild isn’t close to being complete yet.

Caps going full goon mode. Mc Michael slashed chatfield across the legs so great to see him body slam him
 
Taking forever to finish 3rd period in 5-1 Carolina lead over Washington...series of fights and trips to the p-box..so delaying start of Hawkscgame..

The ladt fight was dangerous. Chatfield and McMichael fought with hrkmetscoff.. Chatfield threw down McMichael who fell backwards to the ice..couldhave had his exposed head hit the ice ..might have been a death if his head woukd have smashed i to the ice...luckily his shoulders took the brunt of impacting theice but close tobacyragedy...NHL should outlaw flights withour helmets on.. refs should have stopped the fight once the helmets were off.
