It was one of those Marty style 'easy' shutouts too.

Its the difference between having a veteran defense group and bringing up rookies to learn. Put Ty, Mirco, etc. out there and Colorado probably gets one off a misplay.

We’re capable of that when the goalie makes the big saves when needed, Vitek did exactly that. Give him the net.

What do we attribute THIS to? Haula's part of it but even Nico's going crazy on faceoffs now too.

Other than Nico and McLeod we had a contingent of Hughes/Mercer/Zacha & Boqvist taking our faceoffs and they were all about 35% aside from Zacha.

We replaced them all with Hauala, a guy who is in the high 60s. Pretty crazy improvement.

Unfortunately our defense has been left flatfooted and hung out to dry on more than a few occasions this season by horrible forward play. I guess they didn't have any of those breakdowns tonight?
