GDT: Avs @ Bos | 11:00 am MT | Welcome Martin Necas

Same story, a couple of mistakes end up in the back of the net.

This team needs Nuke so badly
He's weeks away.

No idea why the front office didn't say let's pull the trigger when Nuke is back. All of a sudden a guy like Necas can ease in rather than being thrust into the pressure cooker.

I'm actually surprised and impressed we scored ONE scrappy goal.

With Mittlestadt, MacKinnon, Necas, Drouin, all of our top offensive guys are pass-first players.

It seems to bleed into the rest of the team. I simply don't understand the mindset to not have urgency to put the puck to the net. Really, that's all that needed changing in today's game (other than the PP).

Shoot the puck, make them respect the shot, passing lanes open up. It's Day 1 stuff. Avs are the easiest team to defend because they try to pass the puck into the net.

Oh, and put Necas with Mitts - should have happened at some point at least. Bednar was just happy with how things were going? Not sure what's up with Jared but his seat should be hot.

This is just the beginning boys. We're in for a rebuild.

Not having a goal scoring left-handed shot is going to cripple this team. Our bread & butter on the PP is having the cross seam pass from left to righ, back to the point, right to left, repeat until a shot opens up.

Having Necas on the left side along with MacKinnon (b/c they're both right-handed) moves all the danger of our PP to 1 side of the ice.

Not to mention, Rantanen was a goal scorer. Naturally gifted at it. Nobody else on our team has that ability like he does.

Hopefully our goalies can come up huge, we're in for a massive decrease in offensive production.

Did you miss the last month?

Kinda think Bednar should forfeit tomorrow's game and hold a freakin' mandatory practice. 8 hour work day.
8-9: Shooting
9-10: PP
10-11: Shooting
11-12: Lunch
12-1: PP
1-2: Passing/Receiving Passes
2-3: PK
3-4: Shooting
4-5: Counting on one hand (too help with the too many men penalties).

Bro. Have you seen the bruins roster? The dominated a broken, old shitty team.
True, but if the team would've had a mental backlash to the trade, I think it would've looked different.

Instead it was more of the same. Just not creating enough, and the PP continues to be f***ing horrible. Coaching staff needs to start making some changes, and I'm not talking about the line combos. Some serious shift to the gameplan, and PP structure.

If I'm CMac, this is what I tell Bednar to do. Or someone else is coming in to do it.

Avs seems so far behind the other teams in division spots in the west. Very clearly a wild card team. Luckily the rest of the west behind the Avs suck so they'll manage to squeeze in to the playoffs then get rocked by Vegas or the Jets.

That had to be one of the most flat, deflated games I have seen in a long time.

Powerplay lost it for us again and we had an 18-0-1 record leading after the second.

Also, what a f***ing awful game from Drouin, he did absolutely nothing out there except lose the puck constantly.

True. It would help us more.

That's not how it works. Players can get injured and teams can change their minds about a trade.

If Necas is so similar to Mack why not try him at C? He's a natural center after all.

1C = Mack
2C = Mack lite

CMac said in his presser earlier that he'd not mind if Bednar tried Necas at C.
