Ya who wouldn't want a guy capable of 100/40 Centre capable of shutting down top lines? Millers worse season since joining Vancouver is still better than any season Necas has ever had.
I'd love to see a pole from all GM's who they prefer for the playoffs, I'd bet JT wins in a landslide.
100/40? I’m assuming the 100 is points but what’s the 40? He’s never hit 40 goals in his entire career. Or does the 40 stand for something else?

And no, I’m not saying Miller isnt a good get. But at his age, I don’t see him getting some of the asks that people have suggested.

I assume you both missed the part about retaining eh

I did miss his subsequent post about retention. But it seems a little ludicrous to be honest. Montreal has one retention slot left and they’d use it on that? It seems far fetched. Montreal would probably want a lot due to retention but Colorado shouldn’t be paying for someone else’s mistake in giving him that absurd contract. Maybe Heinemann or Armia though?

Where do you think a second unit penalty killing forward would rank in shorthanded TOI?

How is it possible that you've said something so obviously clueless and then followed it with three laughing emojis?

That clarification came subsequently. The post he was replying to was selling him as a fast PKer. If you’re using PKer as a selling point, one has every right to mock this if he’s not even on the first unit.

Not sure what they are looking for exactly (long term vs short), but if they are looking shorter term, I feel like Granlund is a decent option that shouldn't cost them a ton.

Not that I expect the Avs to do the trade, but the idea of having JT Miller with the Avs just seems to be the type of deal that gets them another cup.
They did add Kadri who many thought was a heat score before they picked him up. I think Mackinnons leadership would control any emotional issues that Miller has.

They could easily fit him under the cap with Middlestadt involved.

Assuming the tweet about Rantanen not being the biggest name of the night, there are only a handful of names that would be bigger, and the obvious one is

I really wish Crosby wanted to be traded lol… would LOVE seeing him in Colorado but I know that won’t happen
However, it's probably just rumor, even if the conversation was had. It doesn't seem like 87 wants to go anywhere. But that would be more likely than JT Miller being the name, which is certainly not as big a name as Crosby.

Anderson has been a valued penalty killer for the Canadiens this season and I don't see any scenario where laughing at the claim someone kills penalty because they are fourth on the team in ice time for shorthanded forwards isn't an idiotic move.

I suppose it’s possible that another season of playing for nothing is giving him second thoughts about staying. Still feels like a waste for him to play it out on a non-competitive team.

If he was so valuable and/or skilled at it he would be first in TOI… or at least on the first unit. This is the usual overrating of Habs players for no reason.

Speaking of Kadri; Much rather take Kadri back for Mitts+, than giving the same Mitts+ for Miller..

how does jtcompher at 3X$3.5 for both avs 2025 2nd's hit ya ? detroit can also take back a short term cap hit
For two 2nd's? No, absolutely no.
For a 4th and the corpse of Miles Wood? Sure thing.

You can't possibly think Miller has higher trade value than a guy nearly a decade younger than him, almost as productive and doesn't sulk
