He does cheat for offense sometimes, but, that hardly makes him one dimensional if he is not good at board work. Even if he is not great defensively it’s still a dimension of his game and non-existent.
Board work is one dimension.
He steals the puck, he passes the puck he shoots the puck at an elite level, all of those are dimensions. He is not the power forward you want, fine, but, that doesn’t make him one dimensional.
I doubt he is a leader, but, he doesn’t need to be with many other leaders n the team. Nor is he the primary play driver, but, doesn’t make it non-existent element.
Therefore, your legit points would be more fair criticisms of his if you didn’t engage in hyperbole and say that he is one dimensional.
