Back in NY visiting and getting to my first game at the garden in probably close to twenty years. Lucked out and I get to see Igor's debut. Let's go Rangers!

Adds up to 7! Rangers 7, Colorado 3.
 
I hope this place can refrain from bitching incessantly about Ryan Graves getting traded and becoming a better player elsewhere like it's never happened to every other franchise umpteen times

I'd like to just enjoy IGOR. Thanks in advance.

It's not like we have several players on our team where that has happened to a significantly greater magnitude or anything.
 
For fellow old time Ranger fans....this is very reminiscent of Hardy Astrom's debut against the mighty Canadiens in the middle of their dynasty....the Habs were riding a 28-game unbeaten streak....and the game was at the old forum. The good guys won....

Unfortunately, Hardy only won one more game in his NYR career....but for one night......
 
All these issues with NBC and the pronunciation of Shestyorkin, is there some rule they cannot use a nickname for a rookie, for the sake of easibility?
Personally, I can say his name better than i can spell it. So I am going with IGOR, like that better than Shesty. Makes me think of Frankenstein, and how many IGOR's are there in NHL?

Its like saying Cher.
