Puck absolutely bounced on him at the last second, not much he could do.Mack wasn't any better. Missed the net.
The rule change should be going back to 4 on 4. 3 on 3 is dogshit and always has been. Teams are afraid to do anything because any bounce can lead to a breakaway. Even if you were not allowed to skate back everyone would still be clutching their sticks. If you have to come up with a bunch of contrived situational rules maybe the format just sucks and you should not do it.Honestly, that's a textbook OT that shows that we need some sort of a rule change to make the 3v3 more dynamic. This is assuming they are dead set on keeping it but it's just not good. Make it so that the team that gains the zone cannot carry the puck back out the blue line. Do something. That was 5 minutes of dog shit.

We should probably cut everyone some slack. B2b and Rycroft said they got to the hotel at 3AM. The only one I'm not gonna give a pass is Necas. That wasn't a mistake made by fatigue, that was just f***ing stupid.Going to cut Nelson and Coyle a bit of slack since they’re still probably adjusting to a new team but I hope we see more out of them soon
Remember, folks, it took Manson/Lehkonen a while to adjust to the Avs in 2022. Almost everyone who joins says it takes a bit to adjust.
Nelson has played for one team his entire career and it's almost exclusively been a trap-based team. It is going to take time. It won't happen overnight.

He really is, strange that he's pretty solid outside of that. Luckily there isn't any shootouts in the playoffsAlso, Blackwood is a terrible shootout goalie. Not a big deal, but he gets way too far into his crease and reacts way too slow.
NeljostI didn’t like his game, but worth mentioning Nelson-Jost hit two posts tonight.
Yes. Especially the OT session. Wylde were clearly going for the shootout and the Avs just kinda plodded along and didn’t challenge anyone. Most unwatchable game I’ve seen in a long, long while. So was the game as bad as TMV made it sound on Twitter? Lucky to have missed if if so.
Yup. Avs actually looked good to start the game most of the 1st period, then they just ran out of gas and both teams basically played rest of the game not to lose, specially the Wild in the OT. And the NHL should get rid of shootoutsSo was the game as bad as TMV made it sound on Twitter? Lucky to have missed if if so.
Didn't help that Mack lost both OT faceoffs.Yes. Especially the OT session. Wylde were clearly going for the shootout and the Avs just kinda plodded along and didn’t challenge anyone. Most unwatchable game I’ve seen in a long, long while.
I was hoping they'd send JD2 out just for the faceoff, like they used to do with Kadri and f***-face Compher.Didn't help that Mack lost both OT faceoffs.
True. Even if Nelson isn’t scoring bunch of points so far in 3 games, it doesn’t seem like he’s gonna frustrate us like Mitts did. He just needs little bit time to get used to playing on a new teamThe other thing I'll say about Brock Nelson is that despite having another poor showing overall, he was half an inch away from none of us giving a shit about that. Even on a bad night his shot remains dangerous.
