As they said, the call on the ice was the deciding factor, not enough evidence either way to know for 100% certainty to overrule the ref that saw it live. It happens (and yes I agree it was a good goal, just rules are rules, shrug)
Plenty of evidence. Refs can just start waving off 50/50s, turn it over to reviews, and say inconclusive, let the league issue a statement post game. They are setting a horrible precedent this playoffs.

It's not like there wasn't footage to review. They just f***ed up the initial call and didn't have the courage to overturn it - correctly. BTW not arguing with you, just can't believe that was the call...

On record that should have counted, but don't buy this sad refalanche thing.
NHL officiating is just a hard gig and they make a lot of mistakes and are terrible at being consistent in their calls or explanations.

Duchene does bump skates but he's outside the blue the whole time & Makar bumps him in.

To me the bigger issue here is just determining what is/isn't goaltender interference. Because Hank is right that Georgiev doesn't have a chance to make the save, but Duchene is outside the blue paint & gets pushed in. Carter is right there's not much he can do.
yeah but the goalie shouldn't be able to run into players outside of the paint. The only contact was initiated outside the paint

Dallas getting screwed by a goalkeeper interference call on the edge of the blue paint in OT of game 6. Surely they have never been on the receiving end of a call like this, right?

So it's a godawful call. No question. Dallas should be celebrating a series win right now but part of me feels like it's karma for Hull's infamous goal.

Yea that really explains the terrible shit call there NHL.

Georgiev's glove was outside the crease, Dutch was outside the crease, Georgiev acted like a dead mule trying to play his position, and Makar forced the real contact (that was still basically outside the crease)

Yes. Because Makar pushed him into him. Quit the defending, your team is lucky to still be playing.
Did Makar put the goalstick between his legs too? Just because he's outside the crease doesn't mean you can impede the goaltender by dragging his stick.

Duchene's skates dragged Georgiev's goal stick away from him.

Georgiev puts his stick between Duchene's legs after Duchene is already move in front of him. Makar pushes him, and because his stick was trying to tie up Duchene, it got pulled away. It's literally Georgiev and Makar initiating contact.
