Bednar: "All the lineup changes are based on just me trying to put on players that look like they care"
It's not hard to look at statistics. Its hard to understand statistics. Look at games played. Two backups and an injured starter are ahead of him.And which part of "playing extremely well" or "1G do this" are you disagreeing with?
Or is it the "there are others who do these numbers" because that is also true.View attachment 961317
Look at all those other names around him wow who could have known it's so hard to look up statistics
A classic Mitts Line tonight.

Did he really say that? If so the that’s not good. Why are there some players on this team that don’t care?Bednar: "All the lineup changes are based on just me trying to put on players that look like they care"
Yep, it's a quote from the post game presserDid he really say that? If so the that’s not good. Why are there some players on this team that don’t care?

I don't like that Drouin got this treatment. Outside of the bad pass to Manson in OT, I thought he worked hard tonight especially support in battles. One of the few to compete.Bednar: "All the lineup changes are based on just me trying to put on players that look like they care"
Drouin played over 22 minutes and was playing with Mack for a majority of the game.I don't like that Drouin got this treatment. Outside of the bad pass to Manson in OT, I thought he worked hard tonight especially support in battles. One of the few to compete.
Hear hear. You know why? Urgency. They did this dumb f*** thing with the goalie pulled and thats to shoot the puck and gets something greasy. Go figure. Imagine they played with urgency on the PP all the time they be unstoppable.
Agree 100%. Finally, fvcking finally, seeing expanded emotion from Bednar. Not just the furtive stares that we only see through TV.. but dropping the hammer on players, publicly. Taking this as a positive. It's about damn time that Bednar finally calls a spade a spade. The teams effort is flat out is unacceptable. Has been the whole f***ing year. This is the NHL, it's a privilege to be here. I think the majority of the team has forgotten this, and it's about time someone told them the effort they are putting forth isn't it.
First time I've ever seen Bednar say something this negative to the public, and I love it.
You know who probably really appreciates that privilege right now? LandeskogIt's about damn time that Bednar finally calls a spade a spade. The teams effort is flat out is unacceptable. It really sucks because he seemed like he was going to really hit as the 2C earlier in the season and in the playoffs. When he is playing well he's really good along the boards, an excellent playmaker and responsible defensively. He seems like his confidence is completely shattered right now, and just looks broken out there.I have a feeling Mitts will be traded by trade deadline. I mean it’s not just the lack of point production, he’s been a defensive liability as well
I didn’t get to see the game but apparently a lack of effort was universally noticed. I have to wonder if Landeskog’s presence would make the players more accountable?Agree 100%. Now Beds, KEEP IT UP. Don't revert, which you always do.
I edited my post where I said I’m getting RyJo vibes from Mitts. I hope I’m wrong but it’s kind of similar. When Bednar is saying some players look like they don’t care out there, Mitts sure looks like one of them and it’s affecting rest of the team. The difference is, Mitts is still a young player with upside, and he’ll have some value if Avs decide to move on from himIt really sucks because he seemed like he was going to really hit as the 2C earlier in the season and in the playoffs.
