Man rewatching that 2nd goal was a thing of beauty. Mitts slowed it down and made a great pass to Walker, who made an awesome read to jump in there. Not a highlight real goal but just a beautiful hockey play.
Yep. Everybody knows you can never win games if you get caved in on the faceoff dot.We lost the most important battle though. Faceoffs were like 60 something percent to 30 something % for the Oilers.
Blow it up
That HDC differential is ridiculous considering most of the game was played 5v5Even strength tonight:
Shot attempts 84-61 Avalanche
Shots 44-32 Avalanche
Scoring chances 46-29 Avalanche
High danger chances 26-13 Avalanche
I said it after last game, this team looks VERY similar to the 2022 Avs again. That is a top-5 analytical team in every major category they just played on the road and they quite clearly controlled the play while on the 3rd game of their Western Canada road trip.
Ardrury LehkonenI just looked and it's actually still Chris Drury
Linhdholm 4g 3a 7pts -5 in 19gms with VAN.From what we've been reading, I doubt Henrique was even an option. CMac was looking for a longer term solution, probably means that if he was on Lindholm they had preliminary discussions on an extension.
60% away is very good. Let's goooAny of you brethren have the "deserve win" meter index here for today's game?
yep like the great jack reacher said: REMEMBER, YOU WANTED THIS..He literally told him before the fight that he will f*** him up
I know this is a meme here, but that was f***ing infuriating all game watching them lose situationally important faceoffs, and only ever winning ones at center ice.We lost the most important battle though. Faceoffs were like 60 something percent to 30 something % for the Oilers.

Have to say the Oilers thread is a lot more realistic than I was expecting. McDavid was a combination of too fancy and invisible all night. Meanwhile MacKinnon plays to the whistle. I wasn't even looking when the goal went in because there was a second left and Bouchard had him covered in the corner. Whoops.
I guess that makes you the Evan Bouchard of postersHave to say the Oilers thread is a lot more realistic than I was expecting. McDavid was a combination of too fancy and invisible all night. HAHAHAHAHA
Bouchard had 0% coverage on him. He should have been all over him. Who cares if u draw a penalty with 1 second left? Draisaitl provided 0 coverage as wellBouchard never really had him covered. Let's be honest.
