What the F**K was De Haan thinking going down to block a shot like that released from the point and he is in front of the net???? Guy could have died tonight. Major props for the balls but please, dude, never again.

A bad 1st period but an utterly dominant 2nd and 3rd which saw the Avs outshoot LA 20-5, out-chance them 18-5, and out-chance them high danger 8-2.

A well deserved win.

I just looked at the list of all hattricks in franchise history. 59 guys have done it (Avs + Nords). I'll admit that I haven't heard of some of the Nords but some of the names for the Avs surprised me. I remember Jost getting his hatty in Tampa amd also Nieto but how about these:

Uwe Krupp
Shjon Podein
Eric Lacroix
Ahhh Krupp the Panthers killer. Good times …

Anyway, how we feelin’ about Mikko now?

What a f***ing TERRIBLE hockey game. God I have to always be reminded why I hate the Kings so much. After so much bitching and posturing about how much the players hated McLellan’s trap, they switch coaches and play an even more lifeless form of hockey. I hope they lose every game they play from here on out but not before they trade away their first rounder in some dumb desperation move.

Mittelstadt’s worst game of the season and it’s not even close. Weak and indecisive all night, didn’t like anything he did out there.

George was fine tonight apart from the usual bad rebound control. It’s nice he didn’t even have to make a save in the entire second period.

Sure looks like the team actually DID make some adjustments after that shitty first period so that’s nice. So, not the prettiest win but they all count the same. Looking forward to some guys getting back in.

Also, Sam Malinski has been our 3rd best Dman so far this year and it hasn't been close.

He really is Makar lite in the offensive zone with his moves and ability to hang onto the puck to create... And honestly, his defensive game has improved so much from last year. Still needs to get better particularly at playing the body in some situations, but man I think he's going to have a pretty solid NHL career. Honestly wouldn't rule out him becoming a Top 4 guy some day for some team.

I’m not a Mikko hater. He is a really talented winger. Top 5 in the NHL. He plays the game lazy, which is frustrating.

Especially so when he played a decent back checking game in his first 2 years when he was young and cheap. Players like him and Mack learn to conserve their energy when they can and save it only for offensive opportunities. It frustrates me but it is what it is.

It’s worth the frustration.

And I’m willing to bet a lot of stars out there would drive us up the wall a lot of nights.

I thought Josh Manson looked good for the first time this season.

Unfortunately, Devon Toews decided to play like a moron tonight to make up for Manson finally playing smart hockey.
