They're not meaningless, especially when he desperately needs f***ing Georgiev to get back on track. A win might have gotten him a little more confidence.

Now, that said, I do agree with Henchy that maybe some adjustments need to be made to the system. He made those adjustments back in the day when he didn't have the personnel to execute his system the way he wanted to. For instance, the Nieto-Soderberg-Comeau line played vastly different hockey than the rest of the team, especially the top line. But they also need to see if they can put someone in that 3C role who can actually log proper minutes. Kelly is 4th line winger being shoehorned into a role he just isn't ready for.

Perhaps not meaningless but they sure don't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things.

Bednar values winning every last game over treating the season like the marathon it is. Then his team is dead come playoffs and it's an early exit. Rinse and repeat until the day he is eventually canned unless someone can finally get through his stubbornness and force him to change.

George was the worst goalie in round 2 and while not the reason the Avs lost to the Stars, a contributing reason.

The difference is that George has an ability that the other guys don't have. Until the Avs grab a guy with a similar ability to steal games, they'll keep giving George chances. I also don't think he's good enough, but he's the only one with that talent level.

Maybe they will, but I think it will be mistake. Give me the stable less talented guy until a solution is found. We ain’t winning anything meaningful with a guy with such significant ego problems. Goalie position is just too important. Pressure is way to high for a guy like that to excel. Move on from him.

Until I see Georgiev steal another game, I'm going to continue to believe that he no longer has that talent and that he truly is broke. He had all summer to straighten his shit out and he just isn't in any condition mentally to be starting games.

I understand that at one time he had talent, but I just don't see how you can keep holding out for him to show it again. I get it, the other guys are much if any better, but they are cheaper and the team appears to be willing to play in front of them, something that they are failing to do now with Georgiev on the ice. I think the Avs get more points platooning Justus and Kappo simply because the team has better feels with them in net (or at least it seems that way with Juicy).

Off-topic but I like Kaapo...for some reason I feel like this was a character name in a Final Fantasy game.
