Do I like the win? Of course.

Do I like that it took MacKinnon, Makar, Rantanen, Lehkonen, and Toews 25+ minutes with MacKinnon, Lehkonen, and Toews above 26 to do it? Absolutely f***ing not.

Just insane how much Bednar plays his top guys. No other coach in the league comes close to running his guys into the ground like he does.

When we inevitably look exhausted come playoff time and lose, I hope it costs him his job.

I'm sorry, I'm being harsh tonight but the guy refuses to learn.

Come on. Why even do this? You know the Avs are missing 4 forwards and 5 if you include Landeskog. Take that away from every team in the league and you have to play your best players a lot.

As expected Girard was horrendous again. Only surprising thing is he somehow has positive impact on offense.

Hey hey. What’s wrong with an old fashioned twostroke? I feel attacked.
Yeah, when I read I that I thought to myself, that was kinda of uncalled for...evinRUDE if we get right down to it.

Killer smile, and her eyes.
I'm so glad you answsered it this way. Now I've got a mental image of TPS walking up and either fish-hooking her or pulling a three stoogies like eye-poke.

I think he's going to survive some cuts. He's impressive.

He's pretty close to producing here he just needs a shift to go his way, and to be rewarded. It's sick watching him defensively.
The way I see it, once Nuke and the injured guys are back we basically have Parker, Ivan, Prischepov, and Kivi fighting for the 4th LW and C positions. Nice that three of them play center.

As expected Girard was horrendous again. Only surprising thing is he somehow has positive impact on offense.

If I'm reading this graph right it says Girard had a terrible defensive game, while Ivan and Kovy were stout. Also, Cale is a selfish offensive player.

Just wanted to post this again this year, but MacK > Foppa
Such a different era these beasts roam the ice. Foppa was the master of giving zero f***s to someone hooking and grabbing him. But I bet Mack would be the same if the environment demanded it from him.

Two of the fiercest and most awesome Avs ever. Glad to be there both back then and now, witnessing their primes. GOATS

At this point, I think if Nate was to win a second cup, he'd be in my opinion the best Av ever. Depending on how his individual career continues to unfold he's still probably going to end up really close to Sakic regardless. Yes, I've got Sakic is the greatest Av. But Forsberg was the greatest player I've ever seen live. It's just his career, especially with the Avs, will always have an incomplete grade. The salary cap, and apparently the way Foppa's ankle were formed consipired from him having a full and healthy career in the uniform he was born to wear.

Even if Nate becomes the greatest Av ever, Foppa will always be my favorite.

My wife battled it and they still hammer you with the maximum dose of radiation that your body can stand. Burned her permanently. Then dose you full of poisonous chemo till your body can’t take any more. We just buried her brother two months ago. Not saying there aren’t different chemicals they treat you with but still mostly a death sentence
I am truly, really sorry for your loss and the pain cancer has caused your family. While not every form of cancer is getting the same breakthroughs there are many forms where while they can't cure it, they can almost allow a patient to live with it. It takes decades and cancer is particularly nasty/intelligent/hard to kill.

But...I'm still currently living proof and hope that we will eventually find a cure. I was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer in late 2019 (Dec. 26th, Merry Christmas, eh?). I was given less than a 25% chance to make it to a five years. A decade earlier, I would not have had 18 months. The significance of this Christmas is not lost on me. I will be playing completely on the house's money come December.

Some of the changes it has caused have sucked, but I've adapted. What I can't stress is how important my wife has been in all of this. Her fierceness, drive and unwaivering belief in me has sustained me through the times I couldn't have otherwise handled. Also, the nurses in the chemo ward... I can not say enough about the positivity and level of care they have provided. Goddamned angels, every single one of them.

I'm just sorry as hell that everyone's story isn't as "good?" as mine has been. While I'll never be cured or ever get off chemo, I have extended my life beyond what it would have otherwise been. I might know the name of my killer but as Norm MacDonald said, while I may not be a doctor, "I'm pretty sure that when you die, the cancer dies too. That's not a loss, that's a draw."

Sorry for the long ass and personal post, Kind of ironic...I haven't made a a freaking GDT in years, and actually had no clue it was Hockey fights Cancer night.
