Getting shutout by Wedgewood is more embarrassing than getting shutout by Blackwood.

The Blackwood thing happened only once because he’s only had one decision against us.

Getting shutout by Wedgewood is one of the most embarrassing constants I can remember in this franchise.

When you get shutout cause you don’t create chances or quality looks, that’s worrisome.

That’s not what I saw tonight. Sometimes you have to tip your cap.
I didn’t watch the third, but we created next to zilch after the first ten minutes.

We must have had a hell of a 3rd if we created chances and quality looks. We hardly had any from the 10 minute mark to 5 minutes left in the 2nd when I turned it off.

Teams know how to shut us down . If we get behind , they just clog the neutral zone and take away our speed and rush game. That negates Hughes’ line and our bottom 6 is crap. That leaves Nicos line but they are usually tasked with shutting down the opposing teams top line.

If teams knew how we would have way more loses.

i dvr’d this game to watch after i put my kids down and didn’t even bother to watch the third. just fast forwarded it to see if they ever got a goal and not even a little surprised by the outcome

Left the arena by 8 mins left. That was by far one of the worst fan game "experience" of the season, not by the score but by the lack of energy the team put in and how unprepared they looked after going down 2-0.

Dougie was probably the worst player on the ice tonight by the number of mistakes he made that directly led to goals. jack was moving but making some bad decisions and also falling down in key moments.

3rd line was dead

Nico was kinda meh, Timo ok.

We gotta get some forward depth or something.

Keefe maybe should switch Noesen and Mercer or Tatar

I didn’t check the score until like 20 minutes ago because I knew the game would be over, unless we went to extra time, which I ruled out at 3-0. I wouldn’t have turned it off if I thought we could come back.

I guessed it was 4-1 or maybe 5-1 before looking.

I’m more surprised the fourth goal was an empty netter, which means we killed at least one penalty tonight. I turned it after 3-0 when we were about to go on the PK with 5 minutes or so left in the 2nd.

So what is Toronto gonna trade for Blackwood tomorrow and he’s gonna shut us out next?

It’s not like we’ve beaten them at home since May of 2000 anyway.

I was surprised Wedgewood only had 1 shutout against us before tonight. I swore he had 2 before tonight.

Yes. They came out really strong in the first and Colorado scored on basically the two good chances they got (and the Devils had a couple of goals wiped out). 2nd period was a whole lot of nothing and the Avs scored on a gifted breakaway on a bad change. 3rd period was peppering shots with it already 3-0.

When I told you this last year you told me I didn't understand hockey. LOLOLOz.
Last year he was just overpaid and still a decent player.

This year he’s 200 pounds of dead weight just smooshing the hell out of Jack and Bratt’s skinny little asses. It’s like he was 32 last year and turned 48 over the offseason.

I can’t think of a bigger bust of a free agent signing for us in a long time, if not ever.

Maybe Anton Volchenkov?

We’re not even gonna get a single 40 point season out of this guy.
