How important are faceoffs? With 1 being not important at all and 5 being the most important?

This is why I have a bit of a hard time being on the "ship out Colton" train. When he was in Tampa is was quite productive AND he was menace to play against - I remember hating his guts when we played them in the finals because he was just an annoying, physical player. With the Avs he's probably too afraid to hit someone because Bednar's philosophy is to play honest, and check-first hockey.
Personally I hate players like Colton who struggle to think the game. You can see a clear difference between Drury and Colton/Wood. Two dummies skating around aimlessly and a guy down the middle trying to figure out how to prevent their f*** ups.

That said, Colton and Wood should be all out crash and bangers producing SOMETHING for us. Not neutered completely. Something is off.

Last season when they were at their best with LOC they were straight trucking north-south and if something was in their way, the laws of phyisics would sort it out. It just seems that Bednar, in general, discourages physicality. I think he belives it slows the pace too much.

This.

There’s something fundamentally wrong with the team.

Mittelstadt and Colton started the season very nicely, and are currently shells of their former selves.

Wood was never great, but he barely resembles the player NJ had 18 months ago.

O’Connor - zero points in last 13 games.

We could go on and on. The team is broken somewhere deep within.

Never thought I’d see the day that I miss Keifer Sherwood.

P.S. I have a feeling that the moment the Avs trade Mittelstadt or Colton, they’re gonna turn on and look pretty good for their new team.

I wouldn't mind at all if the guy resigned, but that's not happening.

The coach will go first. GMs have a lot more rope.
CMac did a lot of good trades for this team but he also did a couple of risky trades. Trading our next future Captain, top trading chip is what can get a GM fired. Hopefully Sakic is monitoring this situation.
