Would I shill garbage for sketchy operators if I already had a mid-eight figure net worth and decent odds at getting to nine figure net worth without doing it?

How is this complicated?

Once we know how much prime is paying him, then you'll have your answer. It's also a celeb rubbing elbows with another celeb thing. These folks operate on a level none of us can comprehend. The only common factor is money, and we all want more of it.

Yes cause an athlete has never sign an endorsement deal with anyone lol you people just look for anything.
Personally, I have the same beef with any of these guys hocking garbage. It’s nothing special about Matthews, whose on-ice play I’ve tried to support when anti-Leafs types reflexively take shots at.

I see no problem taking shots at Multi-multi-millionaires using their incredibly privileged platforms to promote stuff that is at the root of a lot of significant physical and mental challenges we face in our communities (bad diet [sugary drinks, fast food], compulsive behaviour [gambling, alcohol]).

I’m definitely NOT saying they shouldn’t be allowed to do it. But they sure shouldn’t be surprised if they catch shit for it - and if their credibility on other issues is a joke as a result.

So go sell an organ or sell compromising photos of yourself. More money is better, no?

Read up on the guy to his right. Then think about how wrong it is to promote an energy drink marketed to children.

Prime isn’t an energy drink, it doesn’t have any caffeine in it or hardly any sugar. On the other hand it apparently doesn’t hydrate properly because it has hardly any sugar or sodium either, so it just sounds like a crappy product.

Nevermind it has both a sports drink and energy drink with lots of caffeine. Not a huge deal either way.

it overpriced and does nothing

Yeah, now more 12-year old kids will watch Matthews clips on TikTok. It's a great day for Hockey!
Can I assume there are hockey highlights on TikTok? Would that not actually be a decent way to reach youth with potentially exciting hockey content?

Assuming that’s how finding content on TikTok works like that. Maybe it’s just selling Prime to kids who are already hockey fans.

Lol I saw kids queuing to buy this at a local supermarket. Priced 10€ per bottle?!!

The two people who made it are a bunch of clowns and have turned boxing into a mockery of a sport.
That is also kind of on boxing

Boxing has been on the decline since the late 90s/mid 00s

KSI/Logan&Jake Paul just were profitting off of their YouTube presence and got youtube boxing into a thing which people watch heavily.

They are smart and mostly fight UFC guys or other YouTubes

They have an elite lineup of athletes now. Volkanovski and Adesanya from UFC, Haaland from Man City and now Matthews.

Smart marketing.

NHL should hop on board if they want to get popular with younger people tbh

Logan Paul and KSI are megadouches but yeah you can't deny how fast their brand is growing for such an overrated drink, they know how to market, something the NHL is still picking up.

Matthews is a great big name to target right now, I'd assume they get guys like Zegras or someone else flashy down the line too, just makes too much sense.
