Post-Game Talk: Auston Matthews Does It Again! | Leafs Win 7-4!

Good win. Loved seeing some of the boys laying some big checks tonight! Reaver had a monster shift in the first! Matthews had a pretty big one in the first and Rielly near the end of the game. Keep it up, it shouldn't be a switch we try and turn on in the post season, it should be our identity!

Top line did great. Nylander is dominating as well. Domi and Jarnkrok swapped lines and it seemed better, we'll see what happens next game.

Minten and Knies were ok, pretty uneventful at both ends of the ice. Knies does well along the boards and in transition but seems to struggle at making plays around the net and in cycle. The 4th line was pretty terrible as expected, but Gregor had his moments and Reaves had 1 good shift.

I thought Rielly was fantastic tonight.

Samsonov was not very good again. I hope he figures it out. He usually bounces back from bad games pretty well... usually.

Leafs need to play Minnesota based teams more often on Saturday Night HNIC. The last time the Leafs played Minnesota on a Saturday Doug Gilmour recorded 6 assists. This time Matthews had his second Hattrick in as many games.

That went from fun to questionable back to fun

Matty and Willy dominating.

Nice to see Bert get his first and Domi get his first point.

Minten will pot one soon, they looked better tonight.

Sammy is still a question mark but I was happy they held strong in the third and let that PP get some momentum.

Team defense will be a work in progress for awhile with all the new bodies. Just hope the goaltending can settle in

Remember when the Leafs gave it 50 minutes a night but the other 10minutes would cost them the game, now they play 20 slide in 7 and hang on for the other 40 mins

My oh my how times have changed

Can't wait to see them get to that 50 minutes of pure domination, kind of like the 85 Oilers. Winning most nights 6-4

Looks like these guys have the ability to turn it up when needed. They also look like they have the ability to nod off like a narcoleptic 5 year old at times. Could be a whacko season.
