69 is still a sexy number.
2nd player this year... not all that impressive... his point total is, but who cares about 100.
He may be in the regular season, not even top 10 in the playoffs when it really counts.

Mario Lemieux choked at 69 twice. What a bum. He also didn't have coaches challenges taking away a few on-ice goals.

69 goals is still a great number, and heck of a season by Mathews
Matthews surely put in the effort, he played well enough to score a goal tonight. It took some nasty saves, few post, and some close calls to keep 70 from happening. In the end, we as Lightning fans found ourselves pulling for Mathews to get 70 because his play deserved it tonight. Tough break.....
