Hockey Canada has much deeper pockets.

Where did you find this info out? I am really curious because that is kept pretty tight to the vest by each association. Or if it is just speculation.

Just checking because they must be broke from that class action lawsuit keeping stipends from players, violating labor laws, etc. They won't be deep after $160MM gets paid out.

There are tickets for the Canada-USA game for 50$ right now on Stubhub... Has been like that for the past hour.

@THNKenCampbell: At start of game, large swaths of seats in lower bowl are empty. Any way Hockey Canada spins it, this leg of the WJC has been a disaster.

From this thread I gather that Montreal is the cultural capital of the world (take that Regina).

We're still working hard on trying to have as much entertainment and arts as the great Nova Scotia.

Seems people from small towns are sad and angry that they will never have NHL and now won't even get the Juniors either. To that I say LOL and have a Happy New Year! Maybe you can get midget or peewee tournaments. I hope you support them or we may have to take those as well.

Great news if true. The tsn world hockey champsionship doesn't sell well where people don't watch tsn. Shocking :sarcasm:

Ha ha, funny stuff indeed. Montreal is just another city, nothing special.

It's the cultural hub, the most entertaining and vibrant city as well. World class and renowned.

I see the smal time towns in the maritimes, and the flat lands of central canada are a tad jelly.

this.

not to mention the most historic and best supported NHL team.

You Montrealers sure are a defensive lot, wow. I just said your city was nothing special, not a hater at all, it is ok to visit occasionally.

i crave to go to port hood nova scotia.

i heard their night life, women, festivals, food and nhl hockey team are top notch.

They should keep these in non NHL cities.

Says who? The Ottawa tournament was an overwheminly huge success and the last time we actually won at the junior level. At the time it set an attendance record plus all of the Canada games were sold out at 20,500! So it can work IMO, And yes Montreal needs to get their collective **** together as I agree with the other posters!

Well, you know the old saying: Once they've seen Dale Weise, how you gonna get them to watch the World Junior Championships?

Sad attempt at making a point. Instead of using Price, Pacthes, Subban or Galchenyuk you opt for the least known and least exciting player on the team. I'd pay to see these 4 over any child play hockey.

TSN tries to jam the juniors down our throats like they did with the insanely crappy CFL and the "eh" people eat it up, going as far as to insult the city of Montreal, the french, and Quebec. Repulsive. Like us not buying tickets is somehow unpatriotic. The whole thing is silly. You love the juniors? Then stop *****ing from your small boring towns and come here and help fill up the building. Otherwise go see a curling match and don't worry about it.

A fool and his money are soon parted is a perfect saying for this thread.
