How will this be spun?
It won't be spun, they are just losing to someone and it is not the worst teams, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
How will this be spun?
The reality is the leafs can beat anyone in the league in a 7 game series. They just need to show up and win the close games. So likely Tampa. Who is looking like a force lately.
Apparently not according to last 10 games, my bad.

If SJ wasn't such a shitty team, they would have closed out that game 6-3 with an ENG. Instead they could not hit the empty net and could not hold off a Leafs team 6 on 5 twice in the last two minutes.Well you see Tampa lost to Philly 3 weeks ago so it’s ackshually a good thing we let SJ score 5 on us while chasing the division lead.

Not sure who or what EH is but the jinx is workingTampa looks likely to win this afternoon. Up 4-0 at the second intermission. Even EH can’t jinx this one.
Easier said than done in our division unfortunately. They’re good enough to do it though.Winning game 7s has been there achilles. Let’s not even let it go there anymore!
Thank you. Picking random end points for the purpose of a failed dunk is quite a habit around here.Tampa in March

What's your system?I'm guessing the Leafs end up winning the division with 106 points. Tampa and Florida probably end up around 102/103, depending on the outcome of the remaining game between them. Ottawa looks like it is locked into the first wild card spot.

In that case, perhaps you should look again.Just look at the schedules and the way the teams are playing.
So you have Leafs winning 7 of 9 while Florida and Tampa win 6 of 10/9 max. Possible if Leafs play like they did last night but I doubt they go 7-2 the rest of the way and Florida goes 6-4.I'm guessing the Leafs end up winning the division with 106 points. I just can't see the Leafs finishing 7-2. Even 6-3 is going to be tough. So you have Leafs winning 7 of 9 while Florida and Tampa win 6 of 10/9 max. Possible if Leafs play like they did last night but I doubt they go 7-2 the rest of the way and Florida goes 6-4.
I think that's exactly what will happen. I think Florida probably hovers near .500 the rest of the way, with Tampa a bit better because I can see Tampa beating Florida in their remaining game against each other. So you have Leafs winning 7 of 9 while Florida and Tampa win 6 of 10/9 max. My guess is 6-1-2, with a couple of OT/SO losses to Carolina and someone random like Detroit in the last game of the season when the playoff seedings are already decided.I just can't see the Leafs finishing 7-2. Even 6-3 is going to be tough.
5-3-1 would be great with the teams they have left.
2-1-1 would be great against Fla, TB and Car
I can see splitting with Florida and losing to Tampa (hard to sweep the season series). Anything can happen but I am not betting Tampa and Florida play .500 the rest of the way. They are too good and probably want to avoid each other and get the Leafs in round #1. Tkachuk, Bennett and Marchand will be a nightmare in the playoffs. Our third line is also weaker than theirs and we get little production 5 on 5.I think that's exactly what will happen. Meh, I’m not sure those guys are as scary as people think.Tkachuk, Bennett and Marchand will be a nightmare in the playoffs.
