LEAFS GDT Atlantic Division - Race to the 1st

The bench is the same for both teams.
???.

At home you have the bench closer to the defensive zone for the first and third period. Only the second period you have the long change. On the road it's the opposite.

There are numerous studies done on the affect it has

Both benches are in the defensive end for two periods. Both Teams have the long change in the 2nd period.

 all good

That clearly isn't what I said, and certainly not what I meant. I think the Leafs will win the division because they will win enough games to do so, and unlike prior years they are not chasing teams having monster seasons. Saying that Florida and tampa are weaker than they have been in prior years is not saying "I hope they lose". They just aren't nearly as good as they used to be.
Semantics IMO. They're not as good as they used to be, not having monster seasons etc., all that is related to them losing.

Well, that is kind of how this works. Some teams get better, some get worse.
Yup. And I'm with you - Florida and TB aren't as good as they were, that's why they have been losing more, that's why we're right there with them despite being only tied for 8th overall so let's hope they keep losing. We're not that good either, and we're very inconsistent so if the others do enough losing, maybe we can somehow back into 1st place.

It can't be worse than the gong show that is the Eastern conference wild card "chase".

I think having the ability to have last change and not having the longer change twice is a big deal.

As for the atmosphere, it is always better to play in front of a building that is 95-100% cheering for you.

Who cares if the Bos crowd is going crazy for the Bruins? TB might be a little more evenly split but it's nonsense to suggest that the best place to play a game 7 is on the road. In any sport. In all of history
The Leafs are a unique situation with this core setting records for futility.

In 2007 (I think it spilled over into 2008) I went with buddies to watch the California trip. LA, Anaheim and SJ. The Leafs lost all three games. Hard for me to get excited about this trip ever since.
That California trip?

I didn't watch so wondering what happened. Was this one of those "trap games"? Is it understandable that we lost because hey, it was a trap? Who can blame anyone for falling into a trap?

Teams shouldn't be allowed to set traps, there oughta be a law.

Glad you still had fun in your own California trip despite the leafs losing all three games in theirs.

We got there and met some people at the airport and we were invited to a rooftop party in LA on top of one the skyscrapers downtown. I got up drunk in the middle of the night to pee and walked straight into an open door. You gotta take the good with the bad. Crazt world.
