Real source are not reporting this and even saying he hasn't signed w/anyone.
This is the problem with the internet, you cannot trust anything. doesn't mean it's not going to be true, but doesn't mean it's etched into he stars yet, either.

I don't think he's right. In fact, I'd be stunned if he's right.

But if he is, Passan and Rosenthal and all of the BBWA writers better publicly credit him with their confirmation tweets.
He must know someone if he is so certain, but who knows? Has he ever thrown something out there and been completely off?

He's getting 15 years, 700mil. Opt outs after year 3 and 5. Basically only what 6 teams that can swing this?
Seems he wants to play with Devers, for his favorite team and recruited by Pedro, Ortiz, Manny (he’s back) as the guy in a hitter-friendly park

Sounds like Sox are really in this deep

I’m still going with Mets but sounds like it’s us and them

On paper it's actually not a bad fit. Boston has a pretty rich farm with it already starting to bare fruit and Soto would go a long way to legitimizing the Sox as contenders again.

I would argue Boston gives him a better chance to win rather than the Yankees over the life of a theoretical deal.

There are essentially three potential scenarios with insiders:

1. They're telling the truth

2. They're lying (or their source is lying)

3. They're misinterpreting information (or their source is)

My guess is we underestimate how often scenario #3 happens, and wouldn't be surprised if that's the case here.
