Something that may be going under the radar is that Arenado-Story-Grissom-Casas is an absolutely elite defensive infield and justifies spending on ground ball pitchers like Fried

You didn't have to include Casas. He is nowhere near an elite fielder.

I also happen to think Grissom is just not good at baseball (getting Jeter Downs vibes) and Story always hurt.

Boras plant. Means Soto wants the Yankees and he's trying to get more money from them and the Mets not in the equation or if they are Yankees don't care because they won't see them until a world series. Yankees will only go so far money wise, but in the end the Mets and Sox are pawns.
