I rate it, good content if you follow multiple sports it's definitely worth it, if it's just for the Habs. I'd say no.
Problem is, these subscriptions never end.

When it goes on sale for a dollar a month for the year I pick it up. It's nice to have some reading when needed.

The quality is not what it used to be, other than the NFL Draft coverage which continues to be great. They've let go a large portion of their top writers over the past year or two.
Still, I'd probably say it's worth it provided you take advantage of one of their sales.

Also for anyone out there. When I tried to cancel my sub a while back, they offered a $1/month plan to convince me to stay.
If anyone is paying more for it, you might want to go through the cancellation process and see if they're still doing this.

It's been a while but I think I had to do it on their website under account settings as opposed to the app.
waste of money lol. If you are using firefox, just toggle the ''reader view'' and you will be able to read the article for free.
He's insufferable.
When Godin left I unsuscribed. Liked Pronman's content, but Habs coverage is incredibly bad now.

Just remember to either cancel prior to your one year anniversary or contact them to negotiate the next year's rate. Otherwise you will be automatically renewed at the full rate!

Chat with the NYT and they’ll eventually give you an all access subscription for a reasonable price. For the crossword/games and their recipes section (

The hockey is quite bad as Pronman is an absolute joke and while Wheeler has improved, he is still quite poor. Basu knows nothing about hockey but he is around the team a lot and has some decent insights from behind the scenes as well some more personal takes on the players.

I get it with my NYT subscription included in the $4 every 4 weeks. I considered it worth it even if I only read once a week or so.
I pay for lile 5 newspapers though, just redoing the offers..
