Athletic-Pronman's top 32 for March 25

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
Yea- no complaints from me on it but outside Schaefer I think it’s really weak on defense but go with big dmen if that’s the case . I’m glad Reid has moved up because maybe he doesn’t have the ideal size but his skill set has upside to it . Hagens who I love just hasn’t had the great year in my view to really make a run at the top pick so not shocking him and even Martone moving down a bit . Is it me or does that look like a really weak draft ?

Oh someone’s going to be Big Mad about where he’s got Hagens.
They shouldn't, he production has declined since returning from the WJCs. 14 points in 18. Still very good for a freshman but figured he'd dominate a bit more. In comparison his main linemates Perreault has 23 points and Leonard has 27.

So post WJC, Perreault and Leonard have not really been frequent linemates. They've only been together in 6 of 18 games.

As an avid QMJHL watcher and fan of Caleb Desnoyers, he should not be near the top 3.
Geez - I don’t know the player so thx but this draft is turning into a disaster . The number one pick hasn’t really even played then it looks like everybody is picking at straws for the rest of the group . Looks like a lot of kids on that list are there mainly because nobody else to put there or get excited about .

Oh.. his list and my list look very similar again.

Sometimes I swear he just reads this site and pulls his list from others from here.

I like his lists because they tend to reflect scout's opinions pretty well.

I suspect Frondell is going to go higher than 6.

I'm hoping for O'Brien for the Wings if they're in the 8-10 range as I expect.

Yeah I’d be good with O’Brien. I’d also be cool with them just swinging for someone like Kindel or Schmidt if they are just outside that 10 spot. Although Brady Martin has Yzerman type player written all over him.

that seems really high for boumedienne. he's physically talented but he's not good

Trying to remember which list/podcast mentioned it (maybe Cam Robinson / Chris Peters) which also had Boumedienne as a potential late first rounder. But they added the caveat that they wouldn't be particularly excited to take him and that it kinda represented how it wasn't a deep class.

Bob McKenzie's midseason survey had Boumedienne at #24 FWIW.

Oh yawn, another not very smart person who can’t understand that Hagens would whip up on any of these little boy leagues. Desnoyers ahead of Hagens is beyond laughable. This is not even remotely the same category of hockey player.

It’s not even upsetting anymore. It’s just going to look very bad for all these people who have to walk back their opinions in the future. They’ve made their beds, and now must live in it.
