This pick is dedicated to an old friend of mine in Charlie's son Bob Gardiner, who passed away over the weekend at the age of 95. Pictured is him with his Dad as a two-year-old.

Such an awesome photo. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. 95 years is a long time to have lived at least. I'm sure he had many wonderful stories growing up around the game from that period onward.

Well, my list got f***ing obliterated. Moreso than any other ATD from what I recall.

But I'll still happily take a warrior who is tough as nails, strong on both sides of the puck, a right-handed shot, can play both special teams units, and has an absolute cannon from the point. In many ways, he's a complete package on D and a guy who all considered should probably go a bit higher. I suppose the lack of Norris votes hurts him a bit, but I can safely say as a guy who watched him extensively throughout his career, this is the kind of player you go to war with.

Sorta wished I traded down this pick earlier since I want two wingers on the board right now that I think would still be there in the 120s but maybe not in the 130s lol

I'll pick the one who I don't think is as good but who I haven't picked before and brings the size and strength I want to Henri's line (I loved my Bloomfield Hills team which will probably always be the favorite team I built in one of these things but the one thing was that my forward lines were a bit too small even if not soft) and reunites with old teammate Hull as well, Brendan Shanahan, LW, we'll just make sure Seattle has a strict hide yo' wife, don't f*** around policy

Gallifrey picks "the tank" LW Vladimir Krutov.

This allows us to form KSM line, where Sakic is significant upgrade to the undrafted Soviet. Considering how well the original line did we feel confident that our 1st line will get the job done. (They will also have familiar presense on blueline in Vasiliev for additional chemistry points + Kelly for the stud 1D to replace Fetisov)

Mahovlich drops to 2nd line and brings big scoring threat for that line.
